  1. Was doing some spring measurements and my eye wondered towards the lancer..... ended up pulling the front springs out Right diameter, and around the length I was after Sat straight on bumpstops, so did what any reasonable bloke would do and deleted the bumpstops Had to shave down the tube on shock to fit crown brackets This is full droop, springs captive Peek the supervisor This is it on ground but exhaust is touching between diff and chassis so will remove and go under diff or change it somehow. wheres seedy al at?
  2. Took this heap along to mitsi owners day 2025, didn't win anything for ruffest car there but had a good day Left dubcity early early as for the trip, meeting the kaitaia boys and convoys our way down to Hamptons Then we met Damien at Bombay and onwards to the track The day went well, I welded the diff for the wet skid pan and bugger me that pad is bad for sledging, was hard with a handbrake that left the chat. Few hairy moments Even drove it off the trailer again. Unreal
  3. Been slowly tinkering on this, ended up putting the front hubs off the silver crown onto this as haven't found a hilux disk conversion yet. Also swapped front springs over while there, went to swap rear springs but they're a little too blatantly cut. Took measurements so I can search wreckers for something more suitable with makita treatment Found a hilux surf front shock was ideal for rear end and roughly 2 inches shorter, thanks to dion for the old shock to test. For the front a L200 4wd front shock was slightly shorter so went with that. New front bumpstops too Better then the cut ones it had Made an attempt on cooling system, two new hoses and found the heater thingy leaks. Looped the heater hoses for now. Homemade thermostat gasket too and it seems to hold water fine. Will give it a better run on a weekend. yeah nah nah
  4. Gotta watch those cats round here, quite mischievous
  5. Well Well Well, as is the title it's been neglected again. I packed a sad when it received a hilux towbar to the front so it's been in hiding for a while. But chef Ramsey said it's time to cook Dragged it home so I can start on the engine bay. Currently stripping everything ready for repairs to radiator support and shave what I can, declutter engine bay. Put a dummy block in to get the inspiration happening Seems awful close to firewall so plan to try bring motor forward And just to remind everyone how cool 80s interior is when you add fishnets
  6. Ah nope. I found a pic the other night of my old 1600 wagon had one I put on. I think it's essential
  7. Clearly he's referring to the m series motors here, they perform so well the head gaskets let some horse ponies out to let their competitors catch up to them so it's not an unfair advantage
  8. Tried the swap to disk brakes but turns out LN106 2wd I think they're called isn't the ticket. I believe I need the earlier model stuff
  9. Oh I'm good cheers though. I would like to find a number plate trim. I had one on a wagon years ago but they're hard to find
  10. So this was the big deadline to try meet, and so that we did. An epic event and good times cruising the back roads with the boys to get there Still a lot of work to do like interior, more low, swap to 14s as I'm not liking the 15s, change muffler the list goes on but I get to enjoy driving it now
  11. Which stainless trim are we talking about?
  12. 4g63 sohc block from an L200 I dragged out of a paddock Starion pistons, second hand re used rings and bearings. Fwd 8v 4g63 sohc head Balance shaft delete Fwd intake cut shut for rwd Starion exhaust manifold Td05 turbo 38mm external gate 13psi 510cc Evo injector Nzefi ECU I think? Original build melted a piston because boost solenoid played up and let it do over 20psi this is second build. Currently I need to upgrade the clutch it was grabbing gears but is slipping now
  13. I've had a few of those, Will dig out some old pics, also got another wagon I built with @82Mirage and @OSM Garage for fun activities like burnouts and dirt drags that's twin headlight aswell
  14. Really been thrown in it here, so as the tales of the town would have it. Someone may have ran over their trailer guard unloading a vehicle of similar description, and not only that but the exhaust caught the driveway and bent itself But these are only tales as we know the rules be layed in cement Pics or didn't happen.....
  15. Next was a wheel alignment, thanks to the bro eclat again And then off to none other then Krispy Kreme @kpr 140 horse ponies which I believe is equivalent to 62,375 ducks And a quick test drive out the coast afterwards. The feeling was unreal This car has been off the road since 2013
  16. First start up had only minor issues A water leak, easy fix A vacuum line I ran wrong Throttle body needed a blank plate for idle control valve as above The mission to get it out of the shed And @82Mirage back at it making adjustments to the base map.
  17. Some of my finest work Also front end assemble and touchdown
  18. The absolute legend himself karl @82Mirage made the hike down from the far north to do my wiring. So I'm running a link g3 with the garage4G crank sensor kit, factory rvr cam sensor but we had to modify the pickup wheel. It had two tooth so I cut one off to give it just one. It was a sad day for Karl's footwear of choice. r.i.p. jandal
  19. Next was exhaust mods Some extractors from @bigfoot had to use what bits I had to join to my existing exhaust
  20. 15x7 0p 175/50 15x8 20p 195/45 Trying to inspire the boys at work to make better wheel choices
  21. This took more then one attempt My impatience got the better of me and I just mig welded it I'll do better next time.... Maybe
