Few more pics showing how I made the manifold, the steel was from sinco with flanges to suit 4g63t and td05. Had one block in the car and one on floor next to it to do most of welding on. Things I had to consider was clearance from bonnet, steering box, engine mount, brake cylinder. The alternator position will be changed, this will suit the radiator pipes route better too big thing I'm stoked on is all the bolts are easily accessible, most aftermarket 4g63t manifolds are a prick to get to the bolts/nuts, but not this one.....

Been ticking away at making a manifold for this, wanted it to be low mount. My first time making a manifold and tig welding mild steel. Definitely learnt a few things along the way Sufficient bonnet clearance also Pulled off the car cover and sat the panels and wheels on to give that inspiration and motivation. I feel this is important with long term projects

A mate has a very rusty r30 coupe in a padock If I remember correctly it's a Paul Newman edition L20et Rego on hold. Can chase it further if it's of interest. Would say it's probably far beyond repair and better as parts. Northland based.

Has anyone converted their sandblast cabinet to a vapor blaster? I have two of these, one is fully operational, the other needs a new extractor motor , glass , gloves etc. Bought them as a pair very cheap in an auction. So why not convert it to a vapor blaster huh?

Waterblasted and degreased the chassis multiple times , then applied paint stripper with cling wrap around it to help it do its thing. Worked okay, didn't get it all off. Tried wire wheels and sanding disks Then just cut the bullshit and took it down the road to get blasted and painted. Very happy with results, obviously it isn't the cheap option but they did it quicker then I ever could. First blast is the company in whangarei, ild definitely use them again. I have my own blasting cabinet as you can see in background so been doing all the small parts myself, do wish I had a bigger compressor though
