  1. Is there something wrong with it or does it just need the mixture, speed, and timing setting?
  2. I'm hyperventilating a bit. I want one too.
  3. I'd be tempted to tack weld it all together and trial fit it. It's not to hard to grind a couple of tacks off again. What are you going to do with the rear?
  4. Awww sweet! Sorted then. That old EA doesn't look to untidy. Sell it on?
  5. Hey, nice wheel purchase. You going to change your stud pattern to fit them?
  6. LIKE! Thanks guys. If that doesn't work no problem a later date will be fine.
  7. Oh yes please. One SU would be perfect. How much?
  8. No problems. Know anyone else with one?
  9. Hey yeah they could be handy. Thanks. Are you going to be in Chch some time in the next few months?
  10. Good point. I'll have to see what's out there.
  11. Quite a few people do. it makes the motor/box combo to long with a more modern car box though. I think that a Ford model A gearbox fits the original motors with little or no modification. Read all about it here. http://cletrac.org/pages/auxtrans.html
  12. Yep you're right. It has 3 forward and 1 reverse in there with the diff. I'll make up some kind of a drive shaft to connect the two, I'm thinking a small tractor PTO shaft at the moment.
  13. Thanks to this dubious creation. Rear mount, bearing retainer, and fuel tank stand
  14. Excellent. What model Sturmey Archer hub is that?
  15. Wow, Looks awesome. You must be pleased. When was this frame made? What's next?
  16. It might be that the damp side is under the bowl breather. Does it run on 4 cylinders?
  17. Crawler. Datsun. Combined! It's a bit of a tight fit, nothing that some cutting and welding won't fix. Thanks Bart for the gearbox bits. I have a rear mount to make yet, it's a bit tricky. It needs to hold the motor to the crawler and the fuel tank to the bonnet.
  18. Just putting it out there, have you ever thought of a right hand drive conversion? It might make everything else fit more easily.
  19. E. Parrott & Son are pretty helpful. You might be able to change the gear on your speedo drive too.
  20. What Clint said. And or LPG conversion.
  21. Yep Keen. Pick it up next weekend?
  22. I took to this with the gas set last week. Old motor and box, gone. Motor bike tank, gone. Radiator mounts, gone. Various other crap, gone. I've made a start tidying up the grill, made some side panels, and worked out how it all fitted together. Next is to work out what holds the fuel tank in place. Then start adding a motor.
  23. T joint or VDO (from memory) make a sender that has a resistor for a gauge and a switch in it.
  24. What model is this Gal? How many CC?
