  1. its been a bit slow .Ive sold the lada well im holding onto it until Easter for him.Also been looking for an other engine for her if the lada sells.
  2. yes you can stroke it with these cranks - you have to grind the big end journals smaller - if you offset grind them then they will get a stroke increase.. I believe L18 is really the one to do this with though cos its stroke is longer.. (this is all from memory only and don't quote me for accuracy) yeah theres alot of machining(quoted $1100+) .there a 1600 c/f in oz that has a datsun 2L crank.i have looked into this and it possible to resleeve a 1600c/f to fit 2ldatun pistons giving you a 2L kent c/f..also i have found that a ford/mada FE head fits on a 1600 with 6 head bolts line up 100% as of the cost of machining i stoped working on this and maybe the crank from the FE could fit as well ... also was told that a b6 mazda head fit A12 A14 etc engines but have not tryed this yet fit an 1100 flywheel its about 7.5 kg a lot lighter than a 1600 one also fit this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =367020986 its is the Ducks Nuts
  3. 234 will be the biggest cam you will be able to fit with out machining the top of the piston.. 244 cam has 11.3 of lift 290 duration and to big for the street you will find you will always be in 3rd gear around town .the 234 is very good and alot easier to drive

  5. yeah got some 13x7 uncentered rims down south ill putting hunter centers in .will lower abit say 2" oh and fit gutter roof rack

  8. ok.. ill try again on saturday ..Now need cheap place in chch to get parts from. kiwi's is the only place i no of that have older stuff from and they are not cheap .Still new to chch and realy dont no the place that well

Good point, my problem is I went in early this morning to book two cars in,told me there were no booking just drive on in, so I know he wasnt busy, when he came back from driving the Lada he said something about extra gauges and switches, which was really nothing, he didnt show me the WOF sheet, even though he said the problems were going to fill the whole damn thing,all I wanted was an honest warrent so I can see what needs done,so am preplexed as to what the big issue is, as he was more than happy to take my Suburu through for a warrant.
  13. the curiosity got the better of me and thought i would put lada for a wof check at the corner of stanmore and alexandra st. I have had some bloody dodgy cars....but I have NEVER been refused a WOF check before, he too kit for a drive around the block and just flat out refused to give me WOF check said he wasnt going to put his name to the thing and wouldnt even take my money,he said just by driving round the block he had the WOF check sheet filled up,now as I have said I have had a few structually unsound cars, and the Lada does not seem like one.Just wondering..........is this a common thing in CHCH refusing peoples money and has anyone been refused a WOF check before??

  15. depth of bowl in piston 1300 lc 16.26mm 1300 hc 13.72mm 1300 gt 13.49mm ID number is stamped on the crown of piston ie 13 LC
  16. as far as i can see in my books it looks like 1300GT and 1600GT cams and valves are the same spec.. hope this helps i have all the part number if you want to be sure you have gt spec cam and head

  18. oh did you dyno it before and after? if iv got 215kwatw on standard valves surely id get more with oversize. did you have 44mm an 38mm? fuck me 288hp at the wheels out of a 2l pinto with standard valves i got to see a dyno sheet or a youtube clip of this or have you got the numbers mixed up????

  20. i like it and have some carbs that im not using ill have a look to nite and post pic or so B&S engines have different cam profiles for Lawnmowers, Rotary Hoes etc
