the factory ones are crap, made of ali and always break! I went and got brass fittings, think they were about $3 each. Take your hose in with you as there are different sizes. If the plug has snapped off inside just use a screw driver to tap i out, be careful not to damage the thread!

looks good! That starter motor conversion is the best $120 i ever spent, could properly do it cheaper if you know what honda to get the starter motors out of. I haven't touched my sport since i thrashed it a few months ago haha. Will you get this on the dyno?

yeah that white wire should do that, what's it like with just one head lamp running? two might be too much? what's the voltage across the battery when they are both on and its running?

Battery acts as a regulator, you will blow the lamps other wise But looking at the diagram again its hard to tell what is switched to what in the "headlight switch block"

just connect it into the yellow somewhere with a switch on it, and with the x2 front a rear on it will make them brighter. Doesn't help on dons bike that the carb intake is facing forward haha

The DC from the rectifier straight to the coil, the battery is just connected in parallel to this anyway. I should properly check what its putting out from the rectifier, too excited with getting it running. Got the bike going a lot better today with an airfilter pipe on the carb, which creates the vacuum in the carb or something, But idling without anything on the accelerator cable it would just randomly rev up and then just die haha. any ideas? So what colour is the wire that comes from the engine that puts out 3v?

What colour is your wire from the engine? is it white? If you go back to the wiring diagram you can see that the head lights are run off the battery. Also if the wire is white it looks like it gets connect into the yellow wire from the engine when the lighting switch is turned on to boost that circuit. You can run this bike without a battery it just means that it would blow your bulbs all the time as it not regulated like Sam said.

yeah if it was stock that's what i was thinking but could always change the jets etc? I think it was around the 200ish mark to get it tuned there. ive had it done there twice in the last two years.

Turns out they are 4x110 which makes sense now. They fit but i was told the studs have a chance of breaking so wont end up using them unless i get adapters and if im going to do that i might as well go 4x114. Bit of a bummer but oh well. hey if you sell that dizzy let me know Or talk to Peter at Quality Rebuilds, knows his stuff, he can properly modify it for your application, also i have a side entry cap for your dizzy which is no use to me, I had problems with the dizzy cap fouling the manifold/carbs so i ended up going with a 1300 manifold which clears it. Also using a genuine Lucas dizzy that Pete built for me, wasnt cheap! http://www.qualityrebuilds.com

I tried it with a T9-5 speed, left it over night to drain in as it was taking ages, then the next morning i had a big puddle of oil under the car, had drained out the backing plate, so you cant do it with T9, but four speeds maybe different, i wouldn't risk it.
