  1. I did a drive past on both those ones around HVR I posted earlier. The one at 69 has a weirdo hermit type house behind. It probably has a better sun aspect in the afternoons - better for lighting, good for bbqs. The one on Woodruffe is probably winner due to the yard, which has greater security appeal. Without seeing inside, Woodruffe takes a lead.
  2. Oh yes, I would like some shots of my Galaxie very much. My mate has a rat rod Model A he loves whoring out like a bitch if you're keen; it's uncomplied and as illegal as crap but he's pulling it out of storage for Speedshow if that works, might be a prick to work around. It's in this article (so's my galaxie too, and me, sitting in the boot actually, but i've two toned it, white walled it and coloured the rims to the roof): http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/08/american-delivery/
  3. househunting eats dick when you're a single GC up against all these lovestruck double income couples preparing a nest. while i take some joy from the knowledge it will end in shite for over 50% of them it doesn't help me win in my battle to find an affordable double garage and some form of house. If you're looking towards the end of the month I'd be probably keen on a minimum 3month spot if it's around (ideally under) $200 month.
  4. i read thru your build thread last night, i love how your skills get madder as you go on. Ballsy challenge and you're owning it. Nice.
  5. Seldom do you see anything on HVR and say that. Henderson High. Shiver.
  6. just leave your keys in your car bro, she'll be sweet. roadmarking/floorplan from the outset? communal benching makes senses. tools on trolleys.
  7. I'm reasonably keen, but i'm also looking for a house, which may or may not mean I end up solving my problem that way, or I may end up so broke I have to sell all cars.
  8. I'm out HVR way this afternoon picking the kids up, I'll see if I can get to check out the first one. Other idea; getting a hoist and some basic kit, then 'renting out' on weekends, so keep a clear space for that - stuff can be parked on/under when not in use, as long as it can be moved outside to allow use be whoever is renting and the plus side is subsidised hoist.
  9. have you got a place lined up? my whorish lover is 5.4m long and a shade over 2m wide, so 18m2 might be tight. There's another of around 200m on Woodruffe, off HVR: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=582479689 - also offers external space for caravans, dead bodies and bbq's.
  10. can you get a rubbered screen out without f.ing the rubber? i've only ever cut them out.
  11. if you decide to try that alsachrome stuff let me know, i'd be keen to buy a metre or two to try on the acres of interior chrome in my mama's belly/car's interior
  12. yeahnah, they park it in the same carpark as me downtown, it looks like some bad bubbly bookwrap like your mum did for your schoolbooks. Even on a good day. Do not do this. Ever. To anything.
  13. Bonus points for cherry tree. Sakura FTW. And that is a dope as fuck couch. What part of the mighty Hendo-son, i'm looking round Bruce McLaren ways at the moment.
  14. bw35 are a bag of dicks and I'd avoid them. I've had 2 shit the reverse gear in my XE falcon and ended up swapping in a bw40, with the only difference being the lines being in different locations.
  15. Hey, anyone have any experience getting this done around AK? looking for any recommendations, or avoids, so I can get my manifolds cleaned up and exhaust leaks under control. Can't aford to replace with headers at the moment.
  16. I ended up checking this out by way of the spotted page, then the build page. I've seen it heaps on St Georges and always thought it was a bought-not-built ride that someone in one of the ad agencies owned, but checking out your build page, you're a fucking demon, much respect.
  17. noticed in your for sale thread you got this fixed, can you recommend the people who did it? I need to get my ute looked at. Cheers.
