Yep - despite all the little things that need attention and the minor issues we had, it made it there and back and was fun to drive. I felt a bit like this on the way to Whitianga: The Lemon's desire to drop oil is just its defence mechanism for when you get too close to it's rear end.

Gotta be another FD if you're continuing in this thread?

I like this a lot. I will join you in Bay Window ownership when we can find a decent one that isn't approaching Splittie asking prices.

What size do you want the logo, and are you going to spray it in 1 or 2 colours? I can make a normal sticker using promo grade like the one on the left: Or I can reverse cut it so you can use the actual sticker as your stencil, like the one on the right. - Apply vinyl graphics - Lightly spray paint over the vinyl stencil - Sand the paint to give it a weathered look (optional) - Peel off vinyl stencil and admire your handy work - Give Brent a bourbon

Is that logo on the side painted or vinyl? Silly American symbol doesn't belong on a German car. What's the interior like?

Bummer about the slow car taking you out - that rim certainly took a big hit! -

I was just about to buy my ticket online, but thought I'd better check that there are going to be some Oldschoolers there first. So who's going? -

Sorry - I mean set, not pair. I've got a pair of wheels here for someone else too, and couldn't remember who's were who's when I wrote that. -

I'll grab your ticket Shane if Markku's mate doesn't want it. If I am unable to score a spot, does anyone from the Hamilton crew want to grab a pair of wheels off me to take up to Hampton to give to Kurt/Beachlander (who will then pass them on to xssteve)? -

Cool, I may come along, depending on how things work out the weekend before. -

Do you know if the twilight event is for road cars only? -

David with the Celica Supra, if you're lurking - here are some pics of the 288 GTO that was at Hampton Downs earlier in the year, as discussed the other night: -
Did someone say keg?

I think I can arrange a booze bus (sober wife's van) if required too.

Hmm, I've got a family gathering in Tauranga that weekend. Bathurst, beer and BBQs trumps that though.

Proof that oldschool cars attended: Sorry about the extremely shitty phone pics. I blame Apple. -

I'll be hairdrying it there again. -
So thanks to Jarred (RS2J), I was able to put a blog post together using his awesome photos instead of my craptastic ones, which I have combined to create a photographic summary of the hillclimb results. Here are a few of his piccies of some of the older cars (and japawagon's Alfa): Thanks a lot, Jarred!
