  1. Nice find, even nicer to see one that still has all the trims/badges............... These chicken-cooker things seem to be getting pretty popular
  2. Oh assumed you had flown down South to investigate the principles of race-car development and sent a number of parts back.............
  3. Ain't much room between there and the mounting points, however there is probably enough for some dish. There isn't enough for extreme dish However if I wasn't concerned about ratio's etc id probably go with a B1600 Diff for starters, Aint the LSD head design alot better? Edit: If anyone wants those adjustable arms and Bushes im gonna remake mine slighty different......offers
  4. I like it, Makes the car look way different but it reminds me off something else...................................................mx5? mmm grown up version maybe.. Be a 10k+ episode by the time its Brought, shipped , fitted and painted assuming you don't change the colour, but still money well spent as there wont be many around. Then add some graphics And ........ ............ ..................... ................................ .......................................... .................................................... ................................................................. .............................................................................. .................................................................................................... ............................................................................................................................................... ............................................................................................................................................................................................... ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Thats it !!! ----> Magnet for Single mums.............................. Your gonna have to go to a different colour !!!!!
  5. Agree with the reliable part , however I thought id be leaning on it harder than that to make a number near that....... Got most of that including top mount and gt2876, just need get the injectors now whether 850 or 550cc is the option I guess, What are you running interms of mufflers? However running gen2 link so will see how that goes first, havent really got the budget to upgrade it this year......
  6. Truth is I thought id be squeezing 20psi in to go anywhere near 350hp but relatively simple mods could net that by the looks Youve renewed my faith in cracking thay figure
  7. Easier to have the right size weld in your toolbox than the right size circlip.
  8. Such a nice shape these things.... What other mods have you done to the motor to pump 20 psi into it? Am hoping for a power figure around yours with my own sr
  9. Yeah what he said. Go mild steel in the thicker grade Squeeze 4 resonators under there and youve won most of the battle Anything bigger than a 3" tip looks is drainpipe spec, my pick would be an olderstyle handmade muffler from thicker stainless use these on both cars. Just changed mine over to another full exhaust off another car for the extra resonators and a bit more room over the diff, slighty different as has a resonator after the join basically as it goes up over the diff. Its a tight squeeze through by the steering box and not really scatterblanket friendly....
  10. Mr VG , as long as its 100mm+ to the lowest structural point you can do what you you want, and if you stay with standard struts you can have whatever camber neccesary to achieve what you wantDont take advice from strangers
  11. Didnt know that either I must of got lucky, swapped my what i thought was an Rx2 4 speed out for a s3 turbo box. The ring gear must be in the same location as used the starter that was in there, juSt the clutch disc face must be bigger.
  12. Buy both vehicles in the picture and shorten the chassis on the big to fit under the smaller body. Awd
  13. Have the cert plate attached to the front of strut tower in my datsun. Could I move it further round towards the back? (assuming its still visible from the backside)
  14. Your motor is the wrong way round........................... Assumed it was fwd spec but you have more room for 2J that way
  15. Gearbox wise top one will be a rx7 however I dont reconise the bellhousing without the ribs, the basic mod to the shifter to make them fit is to remove the "remote shifter" piece cut the first set of mounting holes off so that the rear mounting holes of the shifter can be bolted to the front bolt holes on the box. Then shorten and redrill the shaft to suit this, some weld the tabs back on so you have 4 mounts again but the two ive done have been fine without them. Since you have a rear housing it maybe easier to swap them over dont know what else is different , putting a s4/5 13bt rear housing on a s6 gearbox is possible but there a few modds to make it work correctly.
  16. Motor seems along way forward on those mounts could almost fit 20b that far foward...... or is the early crossmember mounted in a different spot?
  17. Measure the spacing of the holes on the bottom of the strut should be about 65mm, which is 1300 and rx2 and I think r100 as well. Rx7, rx3 and r31/nissan are 80mm. I brought some rx3 steering arms and can confirm they are the same as nissan spacing, still thinking it maybe a better idea to go that way but I havent got there yet. A couple of reasons would be the larger strut tube bigger shock should help with the shorter suspension range, 51mm tube is alot easier to find coilover bits for, standard shock diameter and the hubs are already 4x114. Havent had a chance to compare them yet but the angles/ offset of the hub I need to compare
  18. That one up the page is the only one in Nz if not the world...... Was registered on friday afternoon as a 161 coupe
  19. These days if your neighbour oesnt have a fire you could run purely on pamphets................... Need to brace my letterbox fucking thing is full every day... One thing i would do is put a capping on your railing as it gets harder and harder for people to balance bottles as they lean on it more. But i have the same on my desk and its awesome
  20. Went to one of my high school balls in a mates metallic british racing green 616 coupe. Lock diff 12a bridgeport those where the days. See if I can find some pictures of it, it resides in opotiki now. Brought some MSF hubs becuase they are both 4x110 and 4x114, get claire to get them on her bag on the next wedding planning trip haha
  21. The extreme 4wd guys do this also Mount a camry gearbox to longitudinal 1uz then one shaft to each diff
  22. If you were staying 4x110 I got a pair of studed hubs with e30 rotors mounted I use as a door stop at home, after deciding to a minimum 15" wheel size. With a little measuring and the right size shank in the stud there is no reason that the new pcd wont cover the old holes I believe, however you would need some stud free hubs I went with the easy option and had my sister bring some 4x114 hubs back when she was in Melbourne however I have also lined up someone who owes me a favour to make me another set provided I produce the drawing for him. Sort of plan B if the new hub offset aint quite where I want it to be
  23. You would think changing to 4x114 would be easy however i can now see why people rarely do whats the plan for the front hubs?
