  1. Compare flow rates of lift vs efi pump. If the EFI pump flows more than the lift pump then it will starve the lift pump. Returning back to the source/pickup of the efi pump will mean the lift pump only really needs to flow what is actually used by the injectors (theoretically - in practice I would imagine it would just top up the 'surge tank' based on level?)
  2. Pretty sure it did end up, up here
  3. I'm keen but got too much cash tied up in potential boat purchase. Mrs would kill/leave me I NEED to win lotto. If I sold my daily I could, but don't see myself doing that.
  4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=307811202 Got offered this a couple of years ago, should have taken it but didnt have the cash. Grandpa spec.
  5. Lush, I have a thing for these corona liftbacks!
  6. Who is doing this? Cheers KK. I wonder how much it'll cost to get welded together. Was going to do the rivet option because I can't weld and it might be cheaper... Was asking if you are doing it for a boat? Was toying with the idea of buying a bare boat and making the centre console...though UJ has just advised re other costs to do so.
  7. Centre console for a boat? keen to see how this progresses
  8. Deal fell through, Cheers though!
  9. After someone to check out some coilovers for me, They are for ae92/101 but would end up in my ae82. Keen to know if they are leaking, bent, or rough. If they can be adjusted (that they do adjust) See what the rebound is like (if its consistent across all four) Guys number is 0226462985 Can compensate if required. Cheers Steve
  10. Seen NOS ones go for $300 +, and refurbished ones for over $200. Not sure on what they are to buy new - can get from the states apparently iirc- didn't know you could get them from Oz though.
  11. Skyway tuffs? or like the ACS Z rims? I may have a freewheel hub and rim I can flick your way, maybe not laced with spokes though. You should ditch the ashtabula(sp?) (single piece cranks) and get some tourney three piece cranks on there asap - look heaps sweeter - then you can use your 9/16 thread pedals.
  12. Have pm'd yoeddynz but is anyone else in Marlborough area? Item is a small outboard motor and would need pickup and drop off to freight depot. Reimburse with $$ for petrol/beers/time as needed. Let me know here as I can't see my PM inbox at work Steve
  13. ah shit thats balls man. One of the sites I am often at had all the copper water and refrigerant pipes pinched last month, they just had a battery powered recipro saw and chopped them out
  14. Ls2's seem to be fetching around 5k, add another 3k for a T56

  18. Cruiser? this is 20" yeah? or 24?
  19. That's an old morrison, weird that it has avanti stickers?
  20. Looking at getting some stop gap tyres for mrs' daily driver, from 'tyrebusters' - have dealt with them in the past and got some potenza g3's which were all good. The tyres in question are some Bridgestone Playz PZ-1, which from the looks of things are the JDm equivalent of re-001's (adrenalins). I asked a similar question on toyspeed and a guy mentoined that if made in Thailand they cannot be used. (He may be confused with complied) This sounds like BS if you can buy and use shitty TRIANGLE tyres etc.
  21. possibly leftfield, but white?
  22. I wanted motivation not peer pressure. Not much to update, so I better get my a into g. Current details are, the premier we sold and were trying to track down has dissappeared off the face of the earth. This left me wondering what to do as it was definately in better knick than this one. However, closer inspection shows that the car only needs replacement of one outer sill, and part of the roof - may even replace entire roof (form a standard HX/HZ kingswood as would be cheap to source) There is a guy in invercargill who folds up sills and floor pans for these on TM, so will likely get the sill form him. Other rusted areas are the front cowl under windscreen, nothing major bit in one place its quite pitted so I will probably get a rarespares cowl (at around $300 ) So the plan now is source a local 202 for cheap as my one is in Fielding in a million and 1 pieces, (this was originally a 202 premier) as I imagine the revin process will be easier with the original donk rather than a vee eight. Further down the track I will prob just put a 308 in it. I still need to get the rest of the trim up from the 'ding, and as I am trying to get to Japan for the end of this year it will likely be a looooooooong term project (as if its not already).
  23. Further to Gaz's query re flashings, with the pop outs are the 'rooftops' on them pitched at all or flat? Bitumen coated or just ply? Was thinking if the popouts are out when it rains then you could end up with water sitting up there, plus then pushing them back in would effectively bring that water inside. Has this already occurred to you? Keen to hear how you have designed them if you have. Plus one on awesomeness.
