  1. That's a damn good point ya have there. I would also explain why on some days it wouldn't start stuttering till later in the drive which was probably on colder days. I'm gona see if I can get my hands on a spare/second hand oil cooler and dodgey it up for a gas cooler with a fan mounted on it behind the grill. if it works, then I'll spend the cash and get a permanent non-fireball setup.
  2. Hey there stranger, haven't seen you in a while Here's the state of it: Things I've done: I've got it sitting at a height I'm pretty happy with (although looks a little high in the front) and have worked the guards at the back for minimal rubbing and comfy ride on our crappy NZ roads. Got a Nardi steering wheel. It's a bit loved but nothing a sand and polish won't fix. Have added a flange before the back muffler so I can have a few different exhaust tips made up. Currently have the original muffler etc for WOF spec and a straight pipe with a twin end which looks a bit odd (this is what you woulda seen from Hawke's Boes mk5). New high flowing walbro fuel pump in the tank! No crazy loudest fuel pump ever. Other bits here and there. Mostly cosmetic Things that are yet to get done (in the short term): Have decided the 75mm flares are too wide. They're messing up the lines of the car. I've got the pair of 55mm flares I used on the front of the car for ages and have test fitted them to the back. They're perfect width! So am going to get a second pair for the front. Will hold onto the 75mm ones incase I get my hands on some 12j/13j wheels. Get the "stuttering when warm" problem sorted. Speaking of the stuttering when warm. This has been happening ever since I've swapped up the fuel pump and I'm getting stuck in working out what the problem is. Car runs awesome for the first half hour into its run (around town 50km, out of town 100km etc,) and it'll then start to hesitate and stutter while cruising and even idling. Accelerating seems to make it come out of its stutter but returns again as soon as it idles again. I've replaced the sparkplugs, fuel filter, checked the AFM, throttle body, plugs, sensors.. you name it. Still no change. I'm thinking of getting my hands on some 7mgte injectors and seeing if that makes a difference. Or perhaps the standard ECU is struggling with the increase of fuel flow at temperature? Any ideas? Let me know what you recon!?
  3. You could always strip and sell it for parts... just sayin
  4. Hey duder, you still got this?
  5. Dont think I've seen a better executed bobb than this. super swoon!
  6. This is gona be the best birthday surprise for Cazza's dad ever. Cazza's dad already has a mint mk3 GXL sedan, but it's been lonely for a long time and we think it's about time it had a new flat mate. The wagon is a rolling body with no engine, gearbox or front seats. Which is perfect for Cazza's dad as he has a shipping container full of spares plus a few pinto engines which all need a home. So plan is - get JasonK's work to take out all the rust and spruce her up ready for paint and plonking engine/etc in. Then hand it over with the biggest ribbon we can find for Cazza's dad on his birthday in August (we'll help with the build and update his/this thread of course)!

  16. THATS EXACTLY RIGHT. you see, the man is in charge of the corporations. and the corporations be hating on punks with cars. so they go to "the man" that deals out the WOFs. And the corporations, well they're all corporation-y. Since they be hatin, then the wof man be hatin, and in turn we all hatin.
  17. Cheers ears. Shames about the 2 tone browns. Fully shames I'm gona investigate some spare shocks and springs I can stick in the back so I got some woffable ones and some for any other time when it ain't wof time
  18. Seems like these updates are years apart. This is it. All legal eagle. Notice the bolt-ons on the front and the massive amount of gap at the back. Back is an inch and half higher than the front. Nurse! Gimme 1.5" cc's of drop STAT Glory shot of the bolt-ons. Height is just the way I like it - nice n low but not hellaflush either. Functional. I'm not totally sold on the bolt-ons. But they're super chur until I strip and do all the panel work one day (hopefully towards the end of this year) Have bought a boot luggage rack that was for a Corvette Stingray. Not attached yet as I gotta get off my ass and find some suitable screws for it. Not sold on this either, however it is growing on me! I wouldn't slap this on if I didn't have a spare boot lid. Holiday Coupe for the whole family lyfe?
  19. gona have to get yourself a russian number plate
  20. Should be hearing back from the guy later this arvo. Said he was gona try and find some door skins for it (if he does he's a wizard) or he'll just make the lower halves from scratch. Should be ready by nats. will be cutting it close
  21. Puhuhu cheers cuz! Yeah was having second doubts after I did the first wheel, then thought there's no point going back now. They look poos up close due to the clearcoat shit I used made the paint underneath crackle. So might get em powder coated one day instead. Should be chur when the rest of the panels have been fixed up and back on. Need to throw some bags of cement (trev) in the back to give the ass more slam
