  1. Has anyone made up a rev limiter and or a sequential shift light? Wondering if there is kits out there from places like Jaycar etc (can't see anything on their web site). Wouldn't mind making something up if possible, just for the fun of it.
  2. Turned up today. Just reading up on instructions. Looks like once you've set the static timing (sets base setting) it adjusts as necessary up to a max of a 17 degrees, so you get a max advance of 32 degrees. You can alter static a bit more 1 - 2 degrees if needed. Unit is completely sealed in a black resin. Has a metal housing that needs to be grounded. Very easy wiring loom etc. Needs a HT coil that has no less than 1.5 ohms like a Lucas DLB 110. Must only use carbon centered silicon leads not solid wire leads. I'll post up a diagram of wiring instructions when I've scanned them (or copied somehow). Will be interesting to see how it works. Will keep posted.
  3. I don't know yet. Am still waiting for it to turn up. Should be here tomorrow. I'll read the instructions first then go from there.
  4. I'll put up a report on this when I get it up and running.
  5. yeah so did I..... I bought it. New they're $410 +GST and only available from Electronic Research and development up north. Thought $75 was a deal. Was just wondering if anyone used it before or had any experience with them.
  6. Has anyone used the Hyperpak system on a 4age with carbs? I want to know if it'll be ok on my rally car. I'm using modified 4k dizzy at the mo. Am thinking about using the original dizzy and the hyperpak ignition. http://www.erd.co.nz/products/toyota.html
  7. Wasn't there a Kiwi back in 60's or 70's that raced a motorbike with a outboard motor over in europe? Was real quick. Died real early though. Was a docco on tv a little while ago about it.
  8. To sort out your fuel return line why not use a surge tank. They'll have return line built into them.
  9. How do you think rally cars get on? They all have the fuel lines running through interior. Only thing is it has to be stainless braided line or pipe like brake line stuff - no joins on inside either.
  10. Great project you've got there! I'm after some parts for my rally car if you can help. Really need the LH rear panel vent if you got 1 or know of 1. Will keep an eye on your toy. Will look sweet when done!
  11. Had a quick look at your pics of fuel system. You might have to watch out the pump doesn't scavenge from the return line causing the engine to lean out. You may have to put the return back into tank. What about putting a small pipe into filler hose below breather? Just a thought. Looking good though.
  12. Cheers mate. Will see what i can get.
  13. Had it on the hoist at work this morning. Steering rack just too limited in movement. I'm going to put in a quick rack so I'll probably have to use some extensions on the rod ends or something to get more travel.
  14. Sweet as. Will look into it. I want to put a quick rack in it anyway so nows the chance.
  15. Hey has any one done a rack conversion on a KE25 corolla coupe? I've just bought 1 as a rally car and it's been done already using kp60 and ke70 steering. The problem is the steering lock is SHIT!!! I'm looking at doing something to make it better. Any ideas much appreciated. I will probably do a quick rack to it very soon too so I really need to get lock sorted.
  16. We've always used Circle Track Engineering in Wigram for any driveshaft mods at work. Give them a buzz.
  17. Yup. Took me ages to find that. Someone here on os had the link on one of their old threads. Some great things in it. Have fun with your project. They certainly take a lot of time and $$$. I've got 1 for sale and 1 to do something with........

  19. Sweet shell. Will be a great project!
  20. It could have been different offsets, but I know that some also were different sizes and mounting positions.
  21. There is a difference between xflow and pre-xflow w/pumps and also 1300 and 1600.
  22. w/pump shud be the same. the only diff with blocks is casting thickness internals etc. No diff with bolt-on stuff as far as i'm aware.
  23. I got sum princess 4 pots that I'm probably not going to use. pm me if you're interested.
  24. If your using a hilux rear end why not use hiace front hubs? Shouldn't b too hard to suss out bearings to suit or even get new stub put on strut to suit hub. Just a thought.
