  1. Or I could just give it to James for the weekend Its still a few months off so will see what happens, if I do end up at nats crown will most likely be needed as tow car as I hear these rotary thingy’s are prone to breaking down Oh and Chris I did mean the 4&rotary nationals.
  2. Sory I didn’t think to mention that doing this will damage the paint and any filler in surrounding areas, if its not working try using a larger peace of pipe (I use 2,1/2''steam pipe) and getting a friend or two to sit in the boot.
  3. I vote for 195/45's all round they sit nice and flat on an 8inch rim so you shouldn't have to worry about the anty stretch police, as for flaring/rolling the guards you can use a base ball bat or even a peace of pipe, put it between the guard and the wheel and drive back and forward slowly till your happy with the shape. This should work fine with the back but you might be better off getting a panel beater to do the front for you.
  4. Will take some more photos of all the bits and the painting/glueing/peacing together of the rims as I go and pass them on to you Brad, I don’t have access to a lathe any more so will see if I can find some one to redrill and take some meat off the back of them this week and then hopefully get them dipped and painted in the following few weeks. Hunted, have a few other plans for the 16's but ill let you know if things change and I decide to part with them. Cheers Jase ive got a few other different idears for the wagon also but ive got a few other things I need to sort first. KK not sure if I can make it Wagnats yet, Rotanats are on the same weekend so if the Mazda's done il probably be heading up to that. Churrr
  5. Cheers every one, I think il do the same with the rear wheels as I did on my crisseda and take a few mm's off the back of the centre on a lathe, I may also be able to take a little bit off the face of the drum and after that il just start with the steam pipe to flair the gaurds untill they fit. Glow in the dark would be super awsome but I think it would be more suited to some thing modern, im still keen for an Aristo so if I can make them fit that As Brad said he's going to do a full write up on what we had to do get them made but basicly just send down a centre and an outer band for him to use as a template and tell him how big you wona go. All up mine were $900 that included polishing postage gst ect, oh and a few weeks elbo grese frome me- Brad those tyres would be sweet but as Phill said they may be a bit loose Maybe I should put some picks up of the engine bay some time it is a 1jzge out of a um... a Toyota of some sort, I do use it as my daily as its my only car I have that even has an engine in it right now, the ol girl runs like dream never missis a beat unless you count the odd gravil rash hole in the exhaust
  6. So this isn’t really a project but more of my daily driver/tow car for the Mazda and a few to many Minis. I haven’t changed a allot on it since buying it off Sam but have changed the wheels to some that I stole of tank and added a new sun visor, other than that its just been general servicing and cleaning a few bits up here and there. I also bought these wheels not long after not specifically for the wagon but ive always loved BBS RS's so I thought ild see if I could make them fit. They started out as 15x6.5 but thanks to a bit of help from Brad/Mikuni and Gavin Bateman they are now 15x9,1/2 and 10. The front fits sweet but the backs going to be a bit tighter than I had planed. Im planning on painting them a light gold some thing like this- And then the next thing will be finding tyres that fit, im thinking a 205/45 for the front and 215/40 for the rear, now fingers crossed there is such thing viewtopic.php?f=18&t=24681
  7. Churrr they fit, fingers crossed mine do aswell
  8. New wheels/tyres/extra slam are always constructive and we all know good things take time, looking good though bro
  9. So I think ive got almost every thing ready for this thing now so it was time for the engine to come back out, did a little more painting first to try a few different effects and I think it came up quite well. Also got a few more bits back from my friendly welder and sorted out all the braided lines for the turbo and oil cooler. Next up weld up a few holes and then onto some painting
  10. Yea bro im keen on the panhard rod what would you want for it? Ive already got my fuel set up sorted so il on those bits but thanks for the offer. Im probably more keen on just entering the show also, may need a bit of practice before I go taking the old girl down the strip.

  12. I was still going to head over but give me a text if anything changes
  13. Yea bro keen as a bean, fingers crossed mines going by then. Are you thinking of entering the show or drags or both?
  14. Cheers bro, when are you coming back to finish yours?
  15. Theres not a lot of choice in 10 inch tyres ether but a 165/70 should probibly do the trick. They do make a 205/55/10 also but im yet to find any of these in NZ.
  16. Il be there, il see if I can round up a few more cars tomorow aswell.
  17. Mean cheers for that, also can any one out there tell me were I can get some of these?
  18. I like were this is heading, I have been thinking of useing the old hydrolastic displacers out of the Allegro my dad was givin to make a car trayler. Still just a dream but this has given me a few more idears. Oh and for wheels- And a abit off topic but this is so sweet
  19. Picked up radiator this afternoon so had to make sure it still fits, also nocked up some water lines that il drop off to get welded up tomorow. Have orded a bunch more fittings/braided hose to do oil cooler plus turbo feed and return so they should be here some time this week also. And a bit more paint Some close up photos of the new wheels in the hope that kyteler can tell me what they are.
