  1. Shit that's next Thursday innit? I'll be in Auckland for The Cure. So will Shaz and Terry. Will have a Welly OS monthly meet with Geoff in Auckland seeing as he missed the last one.
  2. Didn't the P&J shut down? edit - http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/71825662/Lower-Hutts-Station-Village-entertainment-complex-closes-its-doors
  3. Have you got any ideas on how to build the front of the roof? Just a bit of sheet thrown on would not do this justice. Possibly another windscreen and post setup of a similar width vehicle Or perhaps a NoseCone - http://www.nosecone.com.au/nosecone-aerodynamics/catalogue Or this?
  4. Also check out Comac for bus stuff like windows and what have you.
  5. So you would need to avoid diagonally split and ditch the proportioning valve then go through the science of figuring out a m/cyl with the correct dual bore and re-run the brake lines. The front brake circuit would be off the the same bore of the m/cyl and the rear circuit would come off the other half which would run a single brake line to the hydraulic handbrake with a T- split after going to each rear wheel
  6. Not sure on how your setup is or what car you are talking about but be aware that your system could be a diagonal split brake system - as in the left front and right rear are on the same circuit and vice versa. (this is always the setup on FWD vehicles and often the case when both m/cyl. lines feed into the same proportioning valve and each wheel is output on a separate circuit)
  7. Lush and sounds perfect. Good going princess.
  8. Whats the guts on if I was to cut out a section of my floor and recess in a box - say to house speakers under the front seats or similar.
  9. Get the correct helicoil repair kit and slather the tap in some thick grease for all the shavings to stick to, instead of falling into the cylinder, cleaning it off regularly and reapplying fresh grease. I may have one in my toolbox but I'm all the way down in Wellington sorry. If the motor was mega dollar or in really good condition and didn't want to risk it then pull the head. Otherwise if you get a few bits falling into the cylinder then they'll burn up pretty quickly once its running. Big whoop. http://www.waihyd.co.nz/thread-insert-repair-kits-spark-plug-xidg60967.html
  10. You can get gaskets made fairly easily. Or buy a sheet of exhaust gasket material and make your own. Search part number pm762 gasket
  11. Cool FYI - early NZ number plates didn't have a huge amount of relevance to age of car - they were sent out in batches to the regions for when they changed over and a lot of regions had old number plates for years. So I think A through D is a bit all over the show and E onwards was chronological.
  12. The word association game is always a joy with Pete.
  13. Try these guys http://www.dsldiesel.co.nz/
  14. They do so. It's called the Donald Trump, (he is a wily snake and a real fun guy with a badger for a hairpiece)
  15. Looks like the injectors are different from standard Bosch type that thread into the block and are instead held in place with the clamp and are sealed with copper washers so it probably just needs new washers then. Follow that thread and be careful when pulling them out that you don't drop them. Looks very informative and well written.
  16. Where are ya? Also be very careful when pulling the injector out that you are actually undoing the entire injector and not just unscrewing the top half from the bottom half of the injector. (they are a serviceable item) If you separate them then it is a specialist job to rebuild them - very high spring pressures and set up with shims - not a back yard job at all. They come apart like this - you DO NOT want to do this.
  17. Loosen off the pipe nut on top first then tighten the injector. It won't tighten while the pipe nut is still holding it more or less in the same place. Should be about as tight as you put in a spark plug. Snug but not super tight.
  18. The landlords problem apparently. (he needs to move it to start construction on some other building)
