  3. Doing the same at some stage. Somehow ended up with 3 twin headlight grilles, despite not having a twin headlight car. Gonna either chop up the front and make some custom mounts for the headlight buckets, or see if I can fit something from another car in if the h/l spacings are the same
  4. Phones and wastegates aren't interchangable.

  7. Plate under coilpacks? How do ya mean? The bottom of the coil pack is pretty bloody hot, even after 1 1/2 hours of sitting.

  9. Plugs are brand new, only around 600km on them so far. Engine runs MAP. Was thinking something could be wrong with the injectors, but have yet to test. There shouldn't be any difference between the VN and VR injectors should there?
  10. Yeah it ran fine briefly, initially it was running shit as it was running on 3 year old gas and old spark plugs. After a new tank of gas and new plugs, it ran perfectly mint for awhile. But then it turned to shit.
  11. Yeah I did consider the coil pack, but if it was a problem with that, it'd effect multiple cylinders wouldn't it? Being wasted spark and all.
  12. Yah, so engine is a '95? VR 3.8, running off factory VN loom etc. It ain't running right, using tonnes of gas, low on power, seems to be down on a cylinder. 5/6 sparkplugs are still crispy white, while cylinder 1 is a bit different As you can see. Cyl 1 plug on left. I have been unable to do a compression test as my gauge does not fit the engine. Spark plug 1 also seemed to have a bit of oil on it, but whether this was contamination from outside the engine or not I'm not sure. Car does not appear to smoke at all, and the engine runs pretty smooth, but it is definitely lacking a bit of up and go. It also only gets 6 odd Ks to the litre, which is pretty piss-poor. Kind of concerned at the mild knocking sound it seems to have developed, hoping it's just the sound of a dead cylinder as opposed to a fucked bearing.... Anyway any help or ideas as to what may be going on would be sweet.

  14. Up to '78 they had the hockey stick lights. '79 onwards they were rebadged as Chrysler and went to flat tail lights / big ugly headlights. Blue one had hockeystick lights, red has flat.
  15. Fixed up my brown one after some bastard stole the radiator and beat up the front. It runs bloody good but the front suspension needs straightening. Can't find my sledge hammer... Green one is currently rotting on the back lawn. So yeah, at this stage, they're not doing much.

  21. Rolling some form of Mazda springs in the back of mine. They provide a rather comfy ride even at 90mm height.
  22. Anything will fit anything with enough time / money / angle grinder / hammering
  23. I might have a 5MGE ECU somewhere if ya need it. Also have a spare A43DE with computer, but it's in a few bits and is probably missing some fluid pipes.
