  3. Yup H4 hi/lows, clip happily into standard semisealed housings and plug into factory headlight plug.   6. Also also also If you are using stiffer springs and a harder shock to counter the extra springy, make sure the shock mounts are also strong enough. Otherwise they may bend / break etc

  9. Oh yeah, the other one has some rust in it And a CT26 turbo sitting on the exhaust manifold And a new 5/7M-GE sitting on the floor. Fresh rebuild of a 5M head on a 7M block. At some stage I will combine all these items into something. Except the hole, in which I will plug with newspaper and reapply the bog back on. That's all for now, expect another update in 6 odd months time.
  10. Lulz, it's summer, the most i've done so far is open the bonnet. Anyway, in the mean time I have been putting some mild work into this thing. Unfortunately I haven't actually got a photo of the car anywhere, only a few bits of it.. Anyway it's a 1990 LS130something, which had for whatever reason been refitted with the mighty 3L. Which is slow as shit. Bought it in auckland, drove it to Napier, slept in it, bought a turbo for it, ran a bearing in it, mashed it in a garage and left it for a decent amount of time. But as Wagnats is fast approaching I decided that it is probably a good idea to try and get the bastard back on the road again. The current 3L, with a shattared bearing. New engine block, awaiting a head Turbo. Yah Ain't EFI, would much per the D-TURBO pipe that the non efi models had. Engine is almost ready to be pulled out, and onwards to the fun job of dismantling and slapping parts on the new block. Should be fun

  13. Doing the same at some stage. Somehow ended up with 3 twin headlight grilles, despite not having a twin headlight car. Gonna either chop up the front and make some custom mounts for the headlight buckets, or see if I can fit something from another car in if the h/l spacings are the same

  17. Plate under coilpacks? How do ya mean? The bottom of the coil pack is pretty bloody hot, even after 1 1/2 hours of sitting.

  19. Plugs are brand new, only around 600km on them so far. Engine runs MAP. Was thinking something could be wrong with the injectors, but have yet to test. There shouldn't be any difference between the VN and VR injectors should there?
  20. Yeah it ran fine briefly, initially it was running shit as it was running on 3 year old gas and old spark plugs. After a new tank of gas and new plugs, it ran perfectly mint for awhile. But then it turned to shit.
  21. Yeah I did consider the coil pack, but if it was a problem with that, it'd effect multiple cylinders wouldn't it? Being wasted spark and all.
