  1. have a look here, shoild be able to find something. ive got an 80-85 from memory in the bottom hose and the escort sits between this all day long. http://www.tridon.com.au/Products/Product.aspx?SG=8&S=35&G=483&P=2014
  2. think its only about 3 deg difference you want in driveline angle, mine was 7deg with caused a small vibration so i raised my gearbox so it was 3deg difference and this fixed the problem. pain in the ass.
  3. also chesck ya pinion angle to gearbox/engine angle, lowering it might have changed it a bit and cause excessive wear on ya ujs. see if theyve got nipples and give a shot of grease if they have.
  4. take them back and get the ones with the park light built in to them, it sits in a grommet and is part of the semi sealed lamp housing, cheap as, thats what i used in the mk 1.
  5. if youve got a braided line you can buy restictors that just go in the -an fittings. they dont need much pressure and oil at all as compared to a journal bearing type. google will be your friend on this one.
  6. good turbos, exspensive to rebuild being bb so make sure you use an oil restrictor.
  7. have a look under ford in user projects. as said, anything more than a pinto is a bit more than minor.
  8. Havent been up to much on the escort lately but have changed the colour of the front bumperettes to black and many thanks to crazy_rich who did me a good deal on a t25g to replace the rb25det turbo whose oil seals decided to let go. so back to a standard manifold, s/s dump pipe and a new down pipe for the exhaust, which i some how managed to fuck up as it now sits an inch closer to the ground than the old exhaust, and a few more alterations under the hood to get things to work. one will remedy situation when one can be naffed been for a few short trips and is alot nicer to drive, spools quicker and no more smoke on over run = win.
  9. wow wee that looks clean. nice work on the wheel selection.
  10. did your old coil have a ballast resistor? may have got a bit hot from 12v applied to it and cooked it and the points?
  11. you cant machine it out of a solid piece of billet aluminium? i have an end cut off an ingot from tiwai bout the size of a dinner plate.
  12. hey mate do you still have a ca18det s/s dump pipe for sale? changin my turbo to a t25g and am after one. cheers
  13. fuck yeah youll have a ball hows the exhaust note sound now?
  14. 150kw thats a good effort. enough to give those nice new tyres a good pasting on the track
  15. well done thats an awesome effort out of an old piece of iron engineering . you content with how it is now?
  16. have you grounded the new block? its not "alive" or something bizarre like that? all ya loom earths good?
  17. from memory powerbuilt do a cheap double flare tool.
  18. autosol also works well on headlights. fixed the mrs altezza ones which are bad for going yellow and foggy. should be good for plastic screen
  19. and its exspensive compared to a mig. and if you want a period look you might as well do some lead wiping instead of bog, makes you appreciate how easy bog is.
  20. possibly a difference between rb30e low impedence injectors and rb20e high impedence injectors. you will probably need a dropping resistor for them or you will most likely fry your ecu. or put the the rb20e injectors in and see if that works.
  21. so are you getting 12v to the alternator with the key turned on? maybe youve blown 1 of the diodes in the alternator? read this. http://www.aa1car.com/library/charging_checks.htm
  22. hasnt stuffed up the pre heating of the glow plugs?
