Is the piston pushed all the way in so theres no pressure on it to push the shoes out? Also did you re adjust the adjusting wedge so the adjuster tappets arent still pushing the new shoes out?

XF falcon with alloy head? Bad for cracking and warping if it is. Dont get them to hot or it will shag it even more if it isnt already. Maybe you could try something like heal-a-seal to see if it fixes the problem.

Havent been up to much, just rebuilding the engine, but did manage to get some of the running gear back in. Got the hilux diff in with new nolathane bushes all round + kyb shocks and lowering springs. And the front Also slapped a bit of paint round the inside. Just waiting for a mate to sort a deal for the exterior.

Wot measurements do you need to know?

If you dont have a photographic memory sometimes taking some pics also helps just to jog the memory.

How much money you got? i know some people that know some people who have lots of lotus parts.

Cheers, only cost the price of the master cylinder Then some cardboard for a template and some scrap alloy from work. Made a few measurements and put it together.

Palmside has spacer kits for them if you cant make your own. Also they have dual feeds to each caliper so you have to turn them into one.

Mine are in the position theyre intended to be i think just followed the factory swage lines with the guard ones. Will take some pics and measurements tomorrow for ya Gaz. Quite like these wheels except theyre 18". Mite look to much like a roller skate, but would definately fill the guards out. Or these dtm ones which are 17" x 8" but dont like the multi fit holes. Got the engine bay painted satin black, and hopefully the rest of the car signal orange next week with a bit of luck.

Today after work id thought id tackle the hydraulic clutch problem, and after sorting out the right bore sizes for my master and slave, managed to make a functional clutch for the escort that works And of it in the car, needs a bit of a tidy up but fits well and the clutch gets full stroke And one of the new turbo setup

Dont even yhink the gtr runs a t3. Being a twin turbo i think its 2 t25s. could bewrong though

First engine will be standard internals, think its a nz new ca18det as it has the 4 port head which is a bonus. Aiming for 300hp outathatone if it holds together Got another one in my garage as well i might build into something descent once its all going. The t3 i got is off a R34 neo RB25DET,most new nissans come with b/b turbos, S15s, skylines, even gtir pulsars i think. Got stainless bottom mount manifold for it as well, at least it wont crack! Will post pics once everything turns up.
