  1. been busy with cars every weekend so havnt posted any of our piss ups on here but could be about time to crack another otp here, if the weathers sweet we could pitch in and bbq etc. I think both my cars are off the road this weekend with track day looming so thats me out for photos wags may be sweet
  2. yup 1g is 2l, thats why i suggested the 1gfe as there cheap as to run and this things just a daily right? 5mge are not to bad on gas but still drink it compared to a 1g. Theres no carby version but that era of efi is so easy to wire up like 4 wires. 18rgs are cool but getting old, put out no more power than a 1g and would use twice as much fuel
  3. 4sfe is a waste of conversion time aye there so slow as, mike just chucked a 1gfe (has to be manual tho) in his goes 1 million times better than a 4s and are pretty much free i have a cross member and mounts you could have free if you ever went g (got a couple cheap 1gge's to).

  12. most 60 series live axle run the old f series as far as Ive seen? most were jdm havnt indulged in the dirty NZ ones so couldnt really comment. IRS ones were mostly f but Ive run into a few t series ones

  15. boe got 2 engine conversions on at the moment in my tiny shed cos were hardcore. You get like grease on everything in the house cos your to hard to wash up all light switches and even the cheese
  16. 1gfe is the 'economy' version of the 1g has steep angle ports thus the scissor gears to run the second cam.His is a early 90's version around 140hp? less than the claimed 160 of the 1gge but we didnt have a complete loom computer combo for the 1gge. We are doing a 1jz conversion for a dude into a gx81 so we nabbed the 1gfe banged it in and 2 nights tracing the wiring it fires mean. and yea some 1gfe heads are mean steep as ports, but stink as combustion chambers with some work and know how you could make certain versions of the f head banging and the altezza or is200 or whatever 1gfe is vvti 160hp worth abit more than old 1gfe's which are basically free

  18. yea some weld them up to increase lift, most will reduce the base circle and run bigger shims. To do this accurately with an angle grinder you would have to be a robot. You wont get any gains if it even runs at all

  21. yea go spend money on propper paint my matty B cost around $200 but that was with 3l of paint, shitloads of thinners, primer and 10l of prepsol. Just paint it outside and push it in the shed will be fine unless its windy the results are a million times better than cans. Also just ask your paint shop how to mix it etc
  22. yup its the 2 wire one thats not the switch for the fan on the thermo block right hand side of the head. If this is fucked ecu will think all sorts of whack shits going on doesnt sound like a typical temp sender fault but you never know. Pull the codes bro edit whoops

    so if I went for a cert with a engine conversion and one of my random toyota 2piece shaft bits make the conversion work (as they do). would you still need loops? cos its all factory shit. And that mark 2 that broke the shaft and popped his air lines was messy! shouldve had bumps tho so it didnt lay frame in a failure
