the nose cones are different between Kombi and beetle with the Kombi having a 2 inch lower input for the gear selector, which is handy for raising boxes (in beetles). Also split Kombi's had reduction boxes on the end of their axles adding 3 or 4 inches ride height. if you're serious about an engine lift I wonder if type3 cooling tin would fit?

if it's original it should be a twin port 1600 with a single carb...

not exactly a crate turbo engine... but it is a turbo engine in a crate it was built for a beach buggy so a little work is required to convert it to fit a sedan....more for a future phase 2 rather than immediate use...

anyone attending want free stuff? sorting through crap I'll never use and found some OS specific 'treasures', would prefer them to go to someone who is going to put them on their car rather than hoard (or worse sell on TM) 7 inch cats eye head light covers (brand new) 3x old 15inch whitewall inserts, all have the odd nick and are pretty grubby but might save someone who has curbed one of theirs to death?
