Yeah man... lawn bowls !!!!! Where grown men become... slightly drunk grown men on smooth grass with balls. April will be good as much quieter there. I'm keen on going over the day before and camping somewhere. Classic boat show will be great. We should enter a boat. An oldschool dingy for the British seagull race. I've got the outboard. Fully untested.. so perfect.

I got Ned to print out a 36-1 wheel on paper. I cut it out, scribed it onto a steel disc and then simply filed each notch out. It actually took way less time to file out each notch than I thought it would, like maybe an hour or so and was easy enough to do it accurately. Cast iron files nicely too so it will be easy on that pulley of yours.

It is pretty sweet. I enjoyed my time working there. Pretty much all the students were OK at that age ie not annoying dicks. You'd make a good teacher Zac. I can totally picture you in socks and sandles (just like Will)

Highly jealous at the tools you have to play with. We just bought a mill.. but not CNC though. I might add some DROs and then pretend its CNC..

You need to write more threads because I enjoy reading them. Its like a really interesting class with a good teacher. As you were.. get back to it.

Oh hang on.. I never realised they did kits with cheap sensors. From my brief looking into it a while ago a Speeduino was about as functional and handy as an MS2. Certainly more than usable enough for most standard engines out there. So save yourself $400 and eat nice food, upgrade your bike, buy a fluffy cat or burn it in petrol or something.

WOW @ that 14point7 SLC free controller!!!! Me likey. Double WOW @ at that EA coon TB setup. I happen to have a manifold for my Viva wagon that is designed for DCD 28/32 carbs (I thought it was for Datsun carbs but its a bit too big) So once I confirm my engine is not crap I could start piecing together some bits for a EFI setup. So a shopping list would be, Speedduino ecu, 14point7 slc free controller, A wideband sensor, Throttle body. I dont want to pay $115 for a 4.2 sensor. Ive not found any cheaper though. Im wondering what newer cars might have wodebands that can be found at a wreckers.. and how much would said wreckers want for said sensor? I figure many late model golfs etc?

My speeduino board is looking pretty good on the table.. like a nice shiny red coaster. Certainly large enough for my mug of tea right now. I must order the rest of the parts needed. If I was intending to hang on to my HB wagon I'd have a go at injecting that engine with it. But more costly than building the speeduino is buying another wideband.

No thanks.. enough old money pits here already. Would rather more bicycles (and a hillman imp) I'm sure it'll find a good home. With the money you could buy another x19.

Rumour has it that you are going to sell this car?... Why? Hannah and I spotted you driving this in Nelson last Thursday. Your arm out the window looking all boss. You seemed happy with the world. Explain..

wow- you going the full 1256cc?!! -
Damn those seats look lush! Any links to instructions on how best to stripping the recaros down and doing the swap etc. I've been searching for ages for some alternative seats for the Viva to replace the momos. Something that holds me in better. All the recaros I find are buggered in either the centres or the bolsters. Good to know I can swap bits!

Do you think the stock engine mounts are a little 'squishy'? My engine rocks all over the place which is part due to it running on three around idle, which I have yet to fix (car has been sat on the hoist with great intentions to do some fettling on it but xmas and all that food eating happened instead) My mounts seem pretty soft but not obviously deteriorated. Possibly just the way they are from factory? -

Hot damn sexy bits Cheers. I like those runners. I remember snoozin, I think, posting up a picture of Radisches touring car inlet manifold. Longer runners and carbon plenum/airbox. I need to do some more work on this car and have lots of little ideas floating about in my head. More things to tidy up the engine bay further and try to get rid of more stuff from in there. Its still too cluttered.... -
