  1. So I tried a Goss brand 3-4.5psi pump on my 2.0l van today, was starving for fuel.Would dare say it wouldn't keep up with your 5m.
  2. So gross but so damn awesome!! Never realised they were LC, always just assumed they ran an AF16/18 engine. It's just begging for a street-race spec build!
  3. Not sure why I said insert , yeah rears lol.
  4. Bit of a poke around on Google shows there B210 shock inserts. Fan belt goes to a lot of 1.4l Datsuns and a lot of Brit cars among others. Fuel strainer is B210 etc too. I'm guessing the old car was a B210 120y.
  5. Yamaha MR50 with a Suzuki TS/TF125 engine is my guess.
  6. Think I'll just whack the 4.5-6psi pump in and cross my fingers then haha. It's pretty much the same price as the 3-4.5psi anyway. Anyone got a pump blanking plate off a sohc turbo Mitsi spare?
  7. I've been meaning to ask the same question, but for a 2l Mitsubishi. Mines pumping almost as much oil out the vent as it is fuel down the line.
  8. 3.50 x 10" is a super tight squeeze on an AZ50/Let's rim, think there 2.75" maybe?
  9. On mine the other side of that hose goes to the same place as the heater hose on the back of the inlet manifold, next to the brake booster vacuum port.
  10. Needle valve isn't sealing so the carb is flooding. Only does it when running as these have a vacuum petcock, gas only flows when there's vacuum. Give it a good clean, but you'll probably need a new needle.

  12. Yes it's well worth running the clutch springs, when you fit the expansion chamber you are going to lift the power band a fair bit higher than stock and make less power at low rpm.If you leave the stock springs in you will end up with much slower acceleration than factory. But if you don't like attention forget the springs and pipe! I'm running springs that engage my clutch at about 5500rpm and with the filter/pipe combo I'm running it always draws a fair bit of attention as it barks a lot before the clutch engages. Other than the noise and wheelies it still takes off just fine, bit more bite to the clutch but I think my set up is a bit beyond what you're looking at running. /Need to fit 7500rpm springs and my bigger pipe haha.
  13. Very cool!! My first scooter was also a FA50, so much fun!
  14. Thats only for project threads, Kicker linked you to the wrong thread lol You need to host the pics at a hosting site, www.iforce.co.nz or similar. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/34643-how-to-add-pictures-to-the-forum/
  15. Yeah hosted the pic like kicker said. The line coming from the top heading towards the rocker cover is the vac secondary. The one draped over the cover comes from the manifold under the carb, it goes to the summer/winter flap thing on the intake. The vac advance is the one visable on the base of the carb by the mixture screw.
  16. Still in Gisborne too, was deregged in 2013 I believe. Wish I'd never sold the thing now!! Since this thread has been dredged up, the Greenturd is still ticking away using all the petrol and much oil. Removed the PCV and vented the cam cover to atmosphere, a lot of decel smoke went away and oil consumption slowed down a lot, but I'm going to have to admit the rings are going. Changing from 15w40 to 20w50 oil has cleared up all the lifter ticking it had and slowed the oil loss down a bit more which is nice. Boiled the brakes towing too much the other day, pedal has felt like shit since, really should change the fluid and get rid of the silverline pads one day soon. It's a bit to start, it aways starts but it often takes a LOT of cranking. Wish I could afford a HiAce haha.
  17. Lol 9 year thread bump/the project thread seems to be gone completely Jasoooooon sent me a FB screenshot that bummed me out a bit today Edit: Just seen Dan also posted this in my Delica thread Wish I'd just kept it on the road and chipped away at it from this point Sure it was rough, but fuck it was legal and a LOT of fun! Ahh to be young and full of hope again haha The middy was something like 3 months preggo at this point. /thread.
