  1. I dont know about the aussie capris but all the English V6 capri's used a atlas type rear end and so did quite a few of the 2Ls and all mk3/4/5 cortinas
  2. With 10" Wide Mini-tubs... yup. So your going to have trouble keeping the front tyres on the ground then!
  3. Normally you should be able to take the lock out of your drivers door, take it to a locksmith and they can cut a key from a code stamped on/cast into it. Had to do it with my escort and a few cars at my old work, doesn't cost much more than just getting a key cut.
  4. Bike carbs FTW! Used on crossflows a bit in the uk etc
  5. Gisborne car isnt it? If not it had a twin here
  6. Dont you have to slightly slot a hole for the auto shaft to fit? Not if you use the flange from a mk1 diff head as well, or get a new uni joint and have a mk2 end put on the mk1 shaft. Or are you meaning the middle mount on a 2 piece shaft?
  7. The floor pans are the same with both mk1/2 auto/Manuel escorts, its just the autos tunnels are bigger for the 1st section, the mounts are the same aswell its just the x member and driveshaft that differ
  8. 80 = way different, 200 is a possibility
  9. I always blocked mine, or you could plumb it into a t fitting into the main fuel line before the pump

Free up the intake/exhaust, you can get the injectors drilled out a lil bit then after that you will need good $ to get good power. Also if you can get hold of them the 100 turbo (non quatro) brakes and 5 stud hubs bolt straght on (need to fit 4 stud wheel bearings in the front) they are a lot bigger and work well with the factory master cyl. I have done the conversion myself previosly.
  18. Yeah im pretty sure you can get away with certain 13s with the bmw rotors, but id run 14" + with them
  19. Thats a real good idea if your on a budget. Also paying for the head to be crack tested is worth it. Concur! had mine tested before the ports were tidy'd up
  20. Could also use a morrie/austin/worsly etc 1300 engine, or iv seen a austin alglero 1800 fitted in a mini. Also the mg metro front brakes are a good upgrade for minis (if you can find them)
