Good to hear, Johns pretty good with ecu's but your still going to need a proper tune on a dyno with a good wideband O2 to get the A/F settings bang on.
  7. He could be talking fuel, but a lot of people prime the oil pump on a fresh engine (can pack it with vaseline or similar)
  8. NoBNT can do good ones, steel and tube/other trade supply stores

I thought it was only braided brake lines that have to have tags on? None of the braided lines in my Audi have any sort of tag
  10. 4X Bosch HEC715 or MEC717 coils work well.
  11. nismo.capri are you talking about the 2L in your van? Vans have the big tunnel like autos, the manual cars always seem to take a bit of bashing around the bellhousing area
  12. Since you've got a mk1 forget BDA, go Lotus twink! (If you can find one)
  13. It would be cheaper to get all the bits from Burton's rather than Wilcox
  14. http://freespace.virgin.net/tommy.sandham/databook.htm Try this site man, it may have the info your after
  15. The BDT engine was built for the failed RS1700T MK3 Escort group B rally car and ended up being used in the RS200. Its basically a 1800 turbo BDA, 250HP in street trim, and between 350 and 450HP in the rally cars. Personally i would (and did ) build up a 1700 crossflow (83.5mm bore) with a large "road/rally cam - Kent 234 or similar, decent port job and a pair of Webber/Dellorto 40s
  16. With the $ involved buying a BDA you could just about build a BDT
  17. I did it a few years ago, but im pretty sure i used the Tina hose's, i know i had to cut a bit off them cause the Bluebird rad's pipes don't have the right angle bend like the Tinas (i may have used other hoses though)
  18. I'm probably wrong, but it seems to me its not raked it just looks it cause the front guards are cut higher than the rears.
  19. Try a RWD Bluebird rad man, cheap fits pretty easy and works a hell of a lot better than the Cortina radiator, i used one in my MK4

    1300/1600

Are you sure man? That doesn't even match up with pre crossflows
  21. The mk2 2L Ghia and the rest of the Aussie built mk2 2Ls should have a RS2000 spec rad (Aussie RS2k, not quite the same as the English/German RS) i think there basically mk3/4/5 Cortina cores

    1300/1600

+ way better main bearing caps, bigger heads on the lifters and i think there was a few other differences.
