Do you have a revcounter? That will tell you if the idle is all ova the place.
Put a voltmeter onto the battery while running and see what voltage its reading, should be 13.5 - 14v
Your running a 32/36 on a 1600 ? Is the engine modified? I believe there is only a couple of 32/36 Models suited to a 1600, otherwise they can overfuel at idle
I dont think hes asking for an alternator...
Id say a mk2 escort wiring diagram would be the go
Those lucas alternators only need two wires hooked up, one to charge light ( small wire )
And one to the battery ( large wire )
