HI there Yes that carbs off a 1600 sport escort, and the autochoke mechanism has been removed, hence no linkage to the choke lever. It is not the same as the 32/36, the 32/36 is in relation to the primary and secondary barrels of the carb. DGAV 32 means both are 32mm.

If you let it continue to run on like that its guna do some damage. One thing you can do to stop it is to put it in top gear with the handbrake on and stall the engine out. But really you needa solve the issue causing the run on...

Welcome to the site Perhaps the idle is set too high, does it have a rev counter? You could slightly lower it and see if it improves. There will be a screw that acts as the stopper for the throttleshaft Single throat carb I pressume?

You may need to shift the battery to the boot to gain a bit more room in the engine bay. And would depend how long your inlet manifold is.

What sorta info where you after mate? You will need to modify the clutch and accelator cables. Lengthen the wiring to the alternator, you will also need a set of extractors to suite a 2lt in a escort, coby do a set. Use the standard escort mounts and modify the sump or get a austalian 2lt escort sump. I just got a full new exhaust setup made. What gearbox are you using?
