  1. I thought I had the same problem on a Holden and took the head off. Turned out that there was a small core plug behind the inlet manifold that was rusted and leaking. Mechanic should have noticed something like that though.
  2. A friend of mine had to get all his suspension bits retested (crack tested) because the previous place was no longer acceptable.
  3. I've had a Morrie guard dip stripped. Not sure if there is anyone who does that in your area.
  4. Could try http://www.northwesternford.co.nz/ /rockauto in a week?
  5. I though everyone in GB had a Morris Minor daily anyway?
  6. Seal and bearing places are usually good like that.
  7. Here's what I've got, not sure if this is the same pump?
  8. Epoxy/jb weld should be permanent?
  9. Seen this? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lasermad/time-flies-levitating-nixie-clock
  10. Garden hose is traditional , isn't it?
  11. I had some steel wheels sandblasted and powder coated about 15 years ago. Now there is some rust appearing through the powder coat. What's the best way to remove the coating? I could get them blasted again, or someone (KK?) suggested the dip-strip process. Anyone have experience here?
  12. Saw these in Melbourne last week. Future upgrade?
  13. Brass piston. That's unusual isn't it?
  14. Those hard lines look good. I may re-do some of my piping between the tank (in the trunk) and the VU4 (under the car) as the long radius bends of the plastic tube are annoying/messy.
  15. Brought a few smaller parts back from the USA recently, mostly carb kits and a better filter plus NPT fittings to re-do the fuel pump setup. Also intake gaskets and some PS rebuild parts. Rough plans are to re-do the fuel pump plumbing to include the filter and an adjustable regulator (although the Mr Gasket one I've got looks a bit crap). Also have an oil pressure cutout switch to add to the wiring to make it a bit safer. At some point the PS system needs work at is leaks even more than engine (and that is saying something!) Got a used heated spacer to work with the 4-barrell manifold, and a Autolite top to get the choke plates parts from. Shaggy Autolite 4100 on the left and shaggy Holley on the right. Picked up a new 620CCA battery today too, so hopefully will be a better starter now on.
  16. You don't need to have hub-centric wheel location. It's hard to see how you could make centering rings to fit anyway, except maybe by cutting down the centre part of the axle.
  17. KK Snagged a $5 rental car deal. Probably be a Tiida or something horrible.
