Bags are all good mate and i dont mind minitrucks too much but watch out ay, the 2000s and couriers are the worst of them to bag in the front caus they dont have as much room in the suspension as the hiluxs and navaras so definitely check the front bags for rubbage. I would also be wary of the rear setup, very easy for shit to happen as much more movement than a link setup. and as for the valves mine stuck a bit when i first installed them but just strip them apart and smear a bit of engine oil on them and they should go fine, and make sure you have a water trap between the compressor and the tank. What brand of air bags and valves are they by the way oh and wat size be the valves, 3/8th id guess???

If you dont have any plans for engine conversion for a while then id giv it a crack ay, pretty basic to do and will cost fuck all. You could either find an old injected 5m single cam, drop that in and muck round makn that turbo or just whack up a set up for the 4m. eitha way you wont get massive hp but with 7-10 psi itll probly be quite torquey and be a nice little fill in till you can save up for a 2jzgte or 1uzfe haha

So its been a while n i thought id post some project pics of the panel n paint. Iv stripped pretty much all of it back and am just taking all the chrome, handles, front, lights, taillights etc off so i can finish stripping it and start on panel etc

na still trying to strip the fukn thick paint off the bugger, how did you strip yours back?? i need to find some industrial strength paint stripper caus it takn fukn ages haha. any im out west (glen eden) if you want to come have a look and give some advice

um duno, probly just same colour so i dont have to paint inside doors and engine bay etc. would be kean as a bean on badassmofo blak but then the panel gota be perfect or it show up hard out ya no. open to ideas and comments tho... oh and help haha

Just thought id do a bit of reminising bout the old girl. Heres some pics of the day i picked it up from napier, was a good trip. Got so many strange looks from people on the way home goin what the f**k is that and what the f**k is towing it haha. And this is why you dont tow a car on a dolly with a lowered car, the dolly was bottoming out heaps, in and out of petrol stations, over big bumps, but oh well, hirepool can deal with it! This is it on teh trailer with a brand new testing station wof and 5 speed conversion... bout to get the suspension raped out of it. poor old commy wagon suspension struggling hard Pulled all the suspension out and sussing how to get it as low as possible, took some thought and planning Front lower arms after we attacked them with an angle grinder and a welder, cut to cut them down to allow for bag height when fully compressed practise lay out after fitting the bags, to see how low it was guna go. Almost contemplated doin major surgery to rear to make it sit on ground but decided this was enough Chucked it back up on axle stands and ran all the air hose, wiring, gauge line n shit through it then mounted valves, tank and compressor and plumbed everything up. Finished product. Had a few minor air leaks which i took care but apart from that the whole thing came together quite nicely, just in time for xmas/new years. All those weekends hard at it finally paid off.

have a look at westcoasthoppers.co.nz i got my kit and fabrication thru them, cheapest around that i could find and all good as quality gear, just make sure you stay away from chassis tech its absolute shit

Ive taken it off the road to bare metal it and do panel n paint so if theres any old schoolers out west that would come help me sand it in exchange for alcohol that'd be awesome... mite even supply ya with a sander haha
