  1. I didn't buy them from trademe, I just PMed him and got them with thanks to macarbe too. oh yeah, you're meant to post in the discussion thread, not on this thread discussion thread - //oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=9691
  2. so I've been pretty broke lately, and here's why: Evo 6 TD05HR 16G6 10.5T turbo. Am waiting for inlet manifold, AFM and throttlebody to turn up. Still need an ECU and loom, exhaust manifold fabricated, engine rebuild parts (ie rings, bearings, pistons etc), metal head gasket and a few other bits. Definitely don't have the time or funds to do the DOHC conversion before winter, hopefully I can just sort suspension and intercooler for trackday coming up.
  3. haha saw you yesterday afternoon goin down helena then down clyde.. heard the accelerator sticking also. mean.
  4. surely not 4L.. 2L at the very most I would say. you could have a leaking (or missing axle seal) and the oil is escaping down the axle housing?
  5. it's what both Mitsubishi and oil co's like Mobil, Castrol, Valvoline all recommend for that gearbox.. so stab and a dark would say to use what they recommend.
  6. You want Castrol Multitrax in the gearbox, dunno about the Hilux diff if it's LSD it may need LSD fluid. I wouldn't use EPX in the gearbox, it's the wrong viscosity.
  7. even if I were in h-town the eterna is still in bits anyway.. could have taken viva la bam though.
  8. Bit of both - has a slight buckle and has a chunk almost taken out of the rim.
  9. I have head + evo 3 cams + inlet manifold + turbo, but don't have the time or money to build it up before next trackday, still need millions more parts. So I'm just going to get the thing intercooled for now, and sort out the suspension.
  10. they're a common engine, found in most of the NZ-new mirage/lancers of that era. Probably $300-400 at the most from a wrecker.
  11. Have started trial fitment and mocking up where the intercooler will sit: As you can see, it's quite busy in the front end, but I found a place to squeeze it:
  12. sweet boe cheers for that - will look into that.
  13. Hey guys just need to get one of the lips of my volks repaired as its a bit damaged - where is the best (and cheapest) place to go in teh 'tron? cheers
  14. England is a European country isn't it? GM T platform is used on Euro cars such as the Opel Kadett isn't it?
  15. oh, well in that case, shgwag can stfu.
  16. I'm sorry but whats complicated about this? Also Can't run twinscroll on Six's then? There's nothing overly complicated about this - I was just wanting to make sure I had the manifold routed correctly to take advantage of a twin scroll turbo.
  17. not keen on an evo, am keen to have same power as an evo under my bonnet however. that's it.
  18. shush you! only thing evo will be the engine I found it should be paired 1 and 4, and 2 and 3.
  19. Hey guys I've tracked down a pretty sweet turbo off an Evo 6 which I plan on using for the Eterna.. thing is it's a twin scroll turbo and I'm having trouble finding any information on how the exhaust manifold should be made for a twin scroll turbo. Anyone have any info or links? Cheers
  20. where did you get the rims from? how much they cost? cheers
