  1. I like the way you're thinking with this. Street sweeper kits have done their dash and standard body always looked better imo. Polished lip wheels are where it's at unless you want it to look like a Merc. Sweet new whale .
  2. Sent to jarred@tractortorque address. Chur.
  3. http://www.linearbearings.co.nz/Product ... fault.aspx These guys appear to do the right ones, but I've never heard of or dealt with them before. Have sent and Email anyway.
  4. Wow, that place looks awesome. Thanks UJ, will flick male that way.
  5. Hey guys, I'm looking for a new spherical for my Tilton brake bias setup.... and all I can find at the moment is a complete replacement balance bar for $165 = fuck that. The size I'm after is 1" OD, 1/2" ID and 1/2" ball width - pretty Oddball (pun) and neither SKF or Seiko list them. If anyone here deals with bearings can they please have a look for me? Needs to be maintenance free "self lubricating" style and able to take the strain of an aggressive right foot. Let me know what you can do!

    PAINT THREAD

Yuh, get a decent mask that can deal with isocynantes etc and you'll be right.

    anodiseing?

I had one guy in Palmy come into work asking about spray paint setups.... he'd been making his own silencers and selling them and had a bathtub in his garage that had been converted into an anodising tub. Very dodgey.
  8. If E is anything like T then they will be different to F. F's have bigger bearings and axles and are 7.5" CW. According to these guys the E series has the same splines are facelift AE86 T series, which means they won't be interchangeable.... http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13154
  9. That is scary! I love my floating axles.... especially when a crownwheel/pinion dies and seizes - pop axles out and push on the trailer. Easy.
  10. ^^ Brian Howat in Nae Nae, Gaz has had a bit of work done by him and I'm getting axles done there at the moment. Seems like a good dude and does a lot of work for 4WD club.
  11. ^^ That'd be a nice, easy way to do it ^^ That's a 4 link isn't it? Same as my R31 with Borg Warner. You should be able to do a 3 or 4 link system and still fit the seat in there. The arms don't have to be even length. They are quite hard to build and setup though, a lot of people end up with binding 4 links.
  12. There's an anglia race car that runs an SR20DET and a ford diff.... 300HP through an Anglia diff with quaife centre and custom axles. Strong custom made chrome-moly axles are reasonably priced from Mr Howat in Wellington.
  13. T and F have pretty much the same bolt pattern, but axles may be an issue. Had an F series housing at home a while ago and played with a T trying to get it on there, it didn't quite go on but I think it was a difference in bolt sizes that did that. 350kw = Hilux
  14. Sweet, that's sorted it. Go lower.
  15. ^^^ Jammy suggested it to me for that price, but that was supposedly from Howatt.
  16. ^^^ It's still half the price of custom wheels. Wonder if he'd do a group buy if a pile of OS'ers wanted 14" bands.
  17. Intake is the silliest thing about MX5's. Most people make a U bend adaptor that comes off the AFM and fit a pod filter behind the headlight W/airbox and ducting.
  18. Yeah it's still worthwhile doing IMO. Isn't cheap but often the centres that you have will be WAY cooler than anything new on the market.... And a set of something half decent like DTM Banzai's are $1200ish for a set of 15x8 +-0 wheels. Works out for the best in the end I think. How much does Bateman charge? I want to get wider bands for my simmons eventually.... but only outers (which are small) and I hear he charges the same for any width band?
  19. Showed my old man the pic with the $2 coin and the reaction was "Is he stupid? The sump won't last 2 seconds" - or words to that effect . - 'Bubblegoose's lancer - it's low enough to make old men whinge'
  20. What he said. Are KP shocks eyelets/bushes on each end or do they have a thread at the top? There are quite a few options for rear shocks, but it's a lot easier if you have a buddy at a suspension shop.
