  1. Yeah it all looks pretty fixable as mentioned above. The only part I'd be concerned about it that stuff on the B pillar. It gets abit tricky when you have so many panels meeting, but I'm sure there will be ways around it. If your going to be hanging onto the car deffinately cut it out, don't dodgy it up. Nothing worse than seeing bubbles coming through your new paint. You have some pretty good pics tho, try printing them out and going around to afew of the panel places. Hamilton Panel works were alright, they did a little bit of work for me and it only cost $60.
  2. Try anywhere other than repco. BnT, specilist clutch places possibly or even Appco. Repco are so shocking I don't even bother with them anymore.
  3. Bet your looking forward to taking it for that thrash finally! Can't wait to see said boso mini pics haha
  4. Wow I hadn't seen this before. Very awsome indeed. Gotta love old turbo rwd aye, especially on gravel. Luvin the intake on the zetec too
  5. Wow your fully my hero. 'cept you should have mounted your oil cooler out the front, boso mini style. For that I shall never forgive you.
  6. Yeah, its coming along nicely aye. Luving the carbs, are they off a bike originally? Will be a little bit tricky to get them all tuned right, and what happend to the turbo manifold etc? Will your carbs/manifold fit on with those massive filters?
  7. Are they just the same principle as coil overs but no coils? Sounds pretty similahh anyway. (umm how do you get a tax return by the way, I can't figure that shit out.. too basic = me)
  8. naa all T blocks are all the same, so you can put a 2t head on we have put a 2tg head onto a 3tgte at one point Yeap, they both have -g heads, so they are both twin over head cam. A 3t is only pushrod, so the 2t-g head that he is using here won't fit on the black. Ahh I kinda wrote it wrong. Anyway, unimportant.
  9. Wicked. Thats pretty awesome. The 3ts aren't even single, they are push rod and you can't put the 2t heads on even. You need to put the 3t rods etc into the 2t block. go the 2t i reckon. The 3t-gteu is fukn awesome but as far as NA this can't be beaten for a little oldschool 1600.
  10. Thats really interesting. I have been looking at standard bumpers for that very reason, I'll have to stop ignoring hondas when I see them! Very nice 30 though! I'm super in love with that engine. A 2t is almost a rarity these days it seems! Everyone opts for the 4age but its great to see he's keeping it oldschool. Those trumpets and throttle bodies are so nice, but they look very close to the brake master! haha The only thing I don't like is how the front bolt ons don't follow the existing guard line. everyone always does this on ke's and it doesn't look that good. I know its to get it to look lower and all the rest but it looks kinda silly being able to see the guard curve, then the bolt on below it.
  11. Awsome! Sam told me you had the motor, didn't know it was going in! Man it looks mean as. Will be done by the time I'm up next haha
  12. Yeah I was guna say something like this but not as cool.
  13. Looking awesome out in the sun man. Deffinately think you should stick with the bumper, it finishes off the look of the front. Seems a little bit empty with out it I reckon. Also, needs to go waaayy lower. I thought you were talking about puting in down real low a little while back? I'd say another 1.5-2 inches to be safe
  14. Intelligent fella. Maybe you should follow his lead.. (sorry, had to be said)
  15. Nah.. Lenso Mean 6 Mine are fakes tho, TM rip offs = half the price Called like, Zoom @#$$%^ cheap chinese shit Or somethings...
  16. thats only 42mm difference. 4.2cm out from stock, surely no problem right? Good way of looking at it. I had already thought about it this way. It just means I will have to have it WAY higher so it will just sit on the guards nicely on the little 13's. Which.. is one of the reasons I haven't had springs made yet (plus I'm a fan of cutting springs ). Bump stops are already modified enough to give me more travel. I'm not modifying the cups that they sit on, I think thats dodgy (and cutting springs and bumps isn't ). Thats also the reason I have the suzuki shocks - because the standos bump out before they get past bump stop height, if that makes any sense. I already know someone who's thinking about getting those wheels. The extra dish on the supalites is supa sex tho so I'd almost rather them anyway.
  17. Hahah awesome. Ya gotta give him credit for trying aye!
  18. Cheers for all the feedback methz.. shall ponder over your wise comments Re: the wheels, you should have faith in me! These are on TM and I really want them, but I've never heard of -7 offset wheels going on a +35 or so car before! I'm not sure if I can get them to fit. Yeah I know. I'll just force people to look at it. Carry a jack around with me at all times. Picking up chicks = "hey babe, wanna see some shiny control arms?" etc
  19. Yeap I get it alot. Ahh, does the trick tho Got stickered for too low I think.
  20. New plan possibly. I'm giving the engine idea a miss altogether. Have just spent over a grand on rebuilding front suspension with heaps of really nice stuff. -whiteline 26mm swaybar (front) -sandblasted and black enamled upper/lower control arms -all bushings new nolathane items -munroe HD gas shocks, modified for more suspension travel F&R -new balljoints upper & lower -rebuilt (but rusty) piazza vented disks with semi-metallic brake pads -adjustable sway bar ($150 cos they didn't know what it was worth) Haven't gotten springs sorted just yet, as i know it will be a piss around to get them how I want it. *My new idea for the car is as follows Lowish, but probably not as low as with the 17's. 13" superlights or similar with about 185/50/13 tyres lightly stretched just to squeeze inside the guards a little easier I'm thinking front 'spook'/lip off something. Rx3 or similar. Will have to see what will fit but I haven't seen it done before and it will add that little something. Real race look. Not sure whether the bumpers will stay with this style. May even look at full bumpers painted black. Inserts around the lights painted black. Will hopefully make it look abit dirtier. Would love a boso style oil cooler out the front, not too extreme but some braided lines going out to it also. It will sit just below the existing bumper line. Anyway, thats what I'm thinking at the moment and I would LUV everyones feedback or ideas! Even if they are negative ("positive criticism"). Pics.. My control arms all pretty with nolathane and modified shock mounts and suzuki sj4 (i think) munroe gas shocks in the background. No front feet Whiteline 26mm swaybar and adjustable panhard rod This is a little embarrasing/don't get jelous The power unit!
  21. hell yeh toite. Not quite masti material yet, but if it was lower lookout (literally)
  22. I'd say bump this out on wheels and go for an original 808 look just for a cruiser and build the ute. Theres already been some insane almost perfect 808/rx3 wagons built, where as the ute is a little bit more of a one off around these parts. Was a mazda 1000 ute with some parts still on it at horopito by the way.
