We can do a weeknight if you like Gal. Maybe an off peak night though? Last year was fucking rediculous. It was so packed we had to stand on the grass verge out the front just have a place to stand......... -

May have to depart from last years thing of total ferry cost for all divided by the number of peeps then. Otherwise those of ius who are cramming in max peeps are subsidising the lone strangers. Unless the more southern peeps roll this again since we'll be getting all cosy and travelling in numbers. I'm not saying we don't want lotsa cars though. -

I wouldn't suggest the redwood. They crank offensively loud music on sat nights. Completely kills the conversation/atmosphere. Christ I must be getting old. lol -

Lots more vacant lots now. Do any of the other usual suspects have anysugestions? -
David vizzards pinto book is more than half about the head. I have [i500gt]'s copy of it here. It basically reckons that the ports are of a very poor design. To get the best results, filling of port floor is required. Vizzard is a big time head guru. So what he says is probably the best advice. as RT mentioned, nismo capri has fucked with the head on his pinto. (Including filling the port floors) He reckoned he's seeing higher flow numbers than vizzard is in the book. But that book is pretty old. And numbers do vary from bench to bench.

Cheers Clint! You're the man. Would the fish plates also need to go on the top and bottom of the [ section? Or just each side? Depending on how crisp the folds in the chassis rail section are, it could be possible to fold up an inside and an outside fishplate to completely cover the join. Or wouwld it be prefered to only have it inside and on the outside of the vertical rail section to enabale a good longitudinal weld?

Hey Clint, What would the rules be regarding shortening the length of a full chassis? Ie, say a 1946 dodge truck. Quite a long truck, really needs to put cut down to mor ratrod friendly length. I'm told it'd most likely be a "C" section Chassis. Could it just be cut down, and welded up? Or would it have to be ground back so you couldn't tell it'd been done, and then just plead ignorance? A distant cousin of my dads has one that's been sitting on his farm for 25 years, but it pretty rust free. The authentic outdoor weathered look just screams rat rod. But it's far too long.

Dossing at your crib thurs night might be the go mr low N slow. Perhaps catch an evening sailing thurs night, cross the straight, and find a spot to crash for the night? Then a meet up and convoy friday morning? -

My current thinking is to leave chch thurs after work, and catch a late sailing. Then we can make our merry way to Taupo starting friday morning, join up with you fullas at your trackday/shortly afterwards. (depending on how lost/drunk/hungover we get) Then join in the convoy to the camp/rock on. I've been tentitively grooming some accomplices to join me too. But it's going to have to be a low buck trip this year. -

Thats actually quite do-able Clint! I could borrow the old mans VH ranger ute no problems. But the cost of fuel would break the bank. Unless I bring up a (Valiant) truck load of shit, and ping peeps for feight. -

Where do your boes live? We can just suck down some cold ones if you like. The OS meal/beers when the afore mentioned were here was a hoot. Mean feed, and a decent hangover too. -

Depending on how much stuff we're talking, I'm sure myself or someone else will be able to help. I might be making the journey in a ute this year. So A bit of extra gear may be do-able. Maybe! -
PLan B. Fit a dirty old eaton M90. With diseasels running no throttle body, the pump would continually supply whatever boost your choice of pulleys denote. So as you apply the right foot, you'll have all the torque you could ever need on demand. (with zero lag) TBH, I'm still getting my head around how diseasels actually work. But I prefer supers to turbos any day.

Anyone interested in a dyno day in Chch?

I'd be very interested to hear what numbers your 202 is making! -
For all the many many trumpys of that ilk still getting around chch, there is somewhat of a lack of the in goon form. I know a bloke who has had one cut down into a ute. BUt that would preclude you from wagnats. So please don't do that.

NickM bought a weld together yourself kitsit from some place here in CHCH.

Can you divulge any more deets bout this years epic event KK? Last time we got together we new when and where. And how much. If it's vegas this year, we might have to get a late sailing, and head up the next day. Unless we shy away form the bar on the ferry this time, and share the driving, I don't know If I could drive that far in one hit. Although I could give it a nudge. -

That sounds like the instructions that came with the last BBQ I bought! -
There's plenty of non cannon style stainless mufflers on tardme. My old man just recently bought a 2.5 inch stainless muffler for his valiant ute off there from some guy in aucks. It sounds good too.
