  1. Play your cards right, and you might even get to come south in march
  2. Was the starlet sold in the US? Hoses for my datsun for $5ea off rock auto.
  3. I cant imagine it ever not being free to dump. But if that day ever comes, itll be going in a frost pot or the like.
  4. This is a game changer, thanks Tortise! I never knew this tool existed. One of the "been putting it off/too hard basket" jobs on my ute has been the heater hoses. (I need some pretty acute angles) The tube bender springs arent even that spendy. https://hvactools.co.nz/product/imperial-spring-tube-benders/?attribute_sku=102-F-05&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4NujBhC5ARIsAF4Iv6e-PT_VMjIC5S0mVTXw8OJ5c9cvEvQWO08JcpHdZaQvMxRaGfSoBFYaAgNpEALw_wcB I wonder how much/if the heat will shorten the life of the hose?
  5. My rx3 coupe had one of those. (Subsequent owners let the rego laspe, so its irrelevent) factory 10a, declared 12a, ran a 13b. Fuck that car was a piece of shit/deathtrap........ /I never died.
  6. Maps can be aids. Be good to have you along again!
  7. That will be why Li Io stuf runs as normal until it stops dead. Stinky old Ni Cad shite would just get slower and slower and slower.
  8. It's been run "flat" twice from new. And had maybe three charges from say 60%. The other guy is about my weight, and we were both riding the same track.
  9. Lithium Ion batteries. Does their performance improve after the first few charge cycles? I had a pair of rechargeable hair clippers which stated this factoid in the instructions. True or horseshit? I ask because my electric skateboard hit 0% yesterday, while a friend with an identical board, (bought after mine, but has seen more use) still had 25%. (And hed ridden further to get there too) Tbh, I'm kinda fucked off about this.
  10. Will the Plymouth have enough torque to pull it?
  11. I say chap, Wasnt @Evan making fancy pants manifolds for his Jagwaaar engine? Or am I mistaken?
  12. Hi Anthony! (Tony to a few of us stil) Welcome to oldschool you magnificent beast! You better get this sorted in time for labour weekend!
  13. Now that this is a four day odyssey, theres a bit less worry about the support crew being left three hours behind the pack. If you're game for some possibly gnarly terrain (some, but not all of it is obviously) I'd be honoured if you came along. Having enjoyed your company (and outstanding hospitality!) On three separate occasions, I'd love to share this adventure with you if the stars align. Obviously we dont want it to turn into a 4wd trip that follows a small bike trip. But imho, you're a bit different to the average run of the mill hanger on. (Given your significant and selfless contribution to a number of the north islands premier small bike adventures.
  14. Cough, supercharger, cough......
  15. Worth noting his will probably be a four day ride now too. (I've been too useless to update the thread yet)
  16. Driving a truck that far would almost be more miserable than riding a bike
  17. There is sure to be quite the team from chch heading down. So bikes could be tailored no problem. It's probably only a 3.5 hour small bike pest to the start point for any maniacs that addicted to misery.
  18. I dont remember saying that. I do remember you professing that "I'm going to get a smaller bike for next year"....
  19. Put some knobblys on the Hornet! Same ride on Sunday a guy had a CBR250 on road tyres. He dropped it like 9 times in the mud.
  20. I was talking to a guy on a ride on Sunday who reckoned going up the rock steps on small bikes would be easier than going down them. (Hes been down them)
