  5. I heard that a gn250 with its large tyres soft suspension and cushy seat are the perfect combo for cracked ribs And get some accom
  6. Went to hanmer motorfest for the day. Only took a pic when I filled it with gas
  7. Any history of a head being done? When the diesel pump starts to leak its a o ring in the top housing of the pump that's a mega cunt to change without putting plastic through the pump and wreking it
  8. We use Jon palmer from temuka. He comes up once a month and spends a day up here. Great for older/classic cars. He'd probably love what your doing
  9. I took a set of worn re003 off my e39 wagon that were fitted in 2012. They were just as grippy as the new ones
  10. Plenty if tyres in the road older that 8 years Even better if there been stored in the dark

  13. Sounds about right fuel economy wise. They're pretty sensitive to how you drive too. Lots of full boost time makes it suck diesel. It is a pretty old Design motor and the electric pumps are getting to an age where sensors/ecus are giving a bit of grief My kzj78 on 33s does about 14l/100k on average. With the caravan/parachute on the back it was much worse. But was also working pretty hard . Never been hot other than when the head ate shit. But otherwise it's done a lot more towing than a 1kz probably should and still does it
  14. Stripped the rest of the motor down. Crank has been hammering a bit so will be crack testing that and the rods. Otherwise it looks like .030 in the bores ans .010 on the journals will sort it out.
  15. Standard stihl
  16. I also did the vcc Pomeroy trophy out at ruapuna the other week along with @Sanfiddy and (/insert jareds handle ( /I don't know what he is on here )). Driving tests included a standing 1/4 mile, a flying 1/4 mile, a braking test, a slalom test, and a 20 minute high speed reliably test on the reace track trying to achieve a set number of laps given from a convoluted handicap formula Got taxed pretty heavily due to 6300cc of engine but otherwise made 9th out of 29 in my class . Managed 115mph at the end of the main straight and with 80s competition brake pads never ran out of stopping power either . Which was a miracle having to stop 4400lbs of car
