  2. drivetrain-wise, would there be enough room to do something like this?? separate pitbike gearbox running off belt drive to the flywheel/pulley... http://www.pipeburn.com/home/2013/01/13/brenton-newtons-honda-ct110-bobber.html fair amount of engineering/winging it to get a good fit, but the separate gearbox could be cool. otherwise you can get new variators/torque converters on TM - like the TAV2 ones or golf cart ones. youtubed that engine lol sounds awesome
  3. theres a couple of XL / XR honda engines on TM otherwise http://stormparts.co.nz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_302&products_id=30255 ?? at least that drawing shows the mount locations - measure up your one to match?? Edit - or for a couple hundy more http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1091468404

yeah probably means worn loose-ish rings? hopefully its not all slappy but a rebore is pretty cheap. you can get top end big bore kits for them pretty easy too. clean the carb first - dunno if theyre points or CDI but check points if it has them. Carb + points will be most of your starting issues sorted
  10. any updates on this or any of the others? keen. chur

Yeah i thought about that, might still go that route im not too worried about keeping it pretty haha. Sussing the hinge and maybe lockable clips as the cap isnt lockable. Saves this... https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT0szRoRqzq_S6-wi7TpePcLM7dliZ5HCD5oVMOreMBwHk1cuu6Og

Cheers! Yeah filler sucks. I cut out the base so it sits flush over it now. Debated doing toilet seat but liked the cleaner(? On a ratty bike?) look. Planning on using the stock rubber seat pads at the rear plus some front hinge idea im cooking up to suit.

So finally got round to getting my seat idea made up, i had a pile of pieces sitting in the shed for ages so its good to see it worked out!! I used strips of seatbelt from the wreckers over a foam and ply base. Pretty stoked with how it came together. Just have to get a hinge sorted
  17. found this http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/personal-jet-bike-tomorrows-technology-today
  18. If you wire those two holes on the circlip together would that stop it popping off?

  20. Yeah dont shorten them just compress the spring to fit the packer under it. Nylon should work ok if you can get it round the central shaft, it might work just with a slot in the donut a bit smaller than the shock shaft and just pushed on. Its just the super budget version of winding tension onto adjustable shocks to stiffener them. Or just aliexpress some adjustables like this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Motorcycle-accessories-adjustable-shock-absorber-240-mm-330-mm-aluminum-bold-rear-shock/32417212546.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.176.T96VX0&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_6_71_72_73_74_75,searchweb201527_4,searchweb201560_9 you can get them with height adjustment too but dont think those ones have it
  21. super-budget you could compress the rear springs and add in a rubber donut thing underneath to stiffen them up...? hose clamp it on there. lush. but in saying that, its not a moped so needs warrants...no idea if thats legit for warrants i did a similar thing on my front forks after cutting too much spring off haha. repco has the cheap rubber bits, i was going to get nolathane but its pricey (/im cheap)

Haha funny, creepy google. yeah I've still got the file but its for 7/8in bars. are you running inch bars? I could update it if so - from there you just take it to somewhere with a 3d printer. the place I used here has shut down since
  23. Pretty sure they dont need vins. You prettymuch just fill in the mr2b and pay the fee? If it was regd as a bike previously then that could possibly be a hurdle but since its only 50cc and been on the road before, its a moped and doesnt need revinning or even an inspection for re rego. Theres no moped code on the mr2b but its definitely in the computer system. Nowhere on vtnz etc does it say anything about a re reg check.... Some of them are douches about it though Rant over.
