What volts amps? Might be cheap/dirty psu options we can suggest.

If only there was a convenient source of smoke on the vehicle, so you could video and watch the airflow

If it's making boost at idle, the air squishing will heat up. Not usual tho? That implies it'd be making stonking amounts of boost on-throttle, or boosting early until the waste gate opens

Please forgive me asking potentially silly Q's, but when the motor is hot, what's the temp of the air that's just come thru the radiator? i.e., if the radiator is efficiently coupling the heat in the fluid into the gas (air), then the air temp should have come up quite a bit. Old style brass/copper radiators have enormous surface area because of those tiny/fiddly/fragile copper foil tapes, which enables their heat transfer. How do aluminium ones compare these days? BTW, car looks great, man, really good. So beautifully clean in the engine bay.

Electronic/electric actuated handbraked rear calipers.

This might control those brakes, depending on current. (I could probably bang up some arduino code to control it in a few minutes.) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32849254807.html -
Yeah, hoping they'll be recurring, as folks are/aren't available. We'll see I kind'a thought that's exactly what I was offering. Seriously, no prob at all with bringing a kiddo along in principle (good for them to see men being social). Just the public health situation would give me pause, until they can get their vax.

Last month someone needed a beer, so I bought some. I've also decided that from Fridays some folks (me) just need a coffee / sharn / beer, and work on something fun instead. Garlands Rd, Opawa (PM for the addy). Bring your electronics to look at / repair / uprate in a cardboard box, with the cases off already. Wander along, exercise your sharn capacity so you can keep up at Marahau later. Beer's in the 'fridge, and there's ... adequate ... supplies of caffheinous substances. (I have an electronics office with OK stocks in the junk bins for repairing your old shit, or bodging together funny up new junk for LoLs).

Hiya, did you get a number? I can look for / make something when I get that to work with -
M8yte. Might have to drop the good motor in. after a run...

To keep the batteries healthy on long term maintenance, you'se want reasonable accurate voltage set at, say 13.5V per battery, should be fine with a single supply at 27.0V in series. They'll naturally current limit as the become charged up.

Or CBR 1000 from '04, at $89 (if 17mm is a reasonable height for yours?) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003624664740.html

A old-style Dremel with flex-shaft is only about 18mm around the handpiece. Set a ball end tool in there miiiight reach? (Jobmate dremel clone flex shaft is poor, avoid.) Or do it reeeally slowly with one of these? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000126830373.html

So good to hear you're still doing the thing. I think folks down here have been watching you, there's more and more of these in good state of paint, slabbing around the streets. You trend-setter you. Dont buy too much pertol, or you'll put the price up and I won't be able to run the Dai! -

I can scan an L-38 one. It won't be identical, but will be similar, and show you their 'style' . E.g. alt has a green light for working, not a red for fail.

I do like how you're listing the part numbers etc for folks / google to find. Good stuff! Also, there's an active group here, with a guy who sources sells S38 parts, get yourself an invite https://www.facebook.com/groups/1842192666046554/

I'm stealing some electrons from the Dai. Maybe some of you know I have another OS vehicle, which would be much more suitable for a wee open road excursion to somewhere near the sounds, somewhere near summer:
