  1. Was really hoping to have van at this, but it's not gonna happen due to delays with panelbeater
  2. I think there's a FPP place around the corner from work, (was enzed hoses) want me to go harass them for you?
  3. http://www.trademe.co.nz/789979573 http://www.trademe.co.nz/792359062 http://www.trademe.co.nz/790850324 Or to start a war, put this in it http://www.trademe.co.nz/789833203
  4. Brake upgrades? Currently running 270mmx22 rotors and single pot callipers looking at: standard VL turbo stuff. (Callipers $220) 290mmx22mm with single pot finned callipers Or VL turbo rotors and an adaptor to run rx7 4 pot callipers (callipers $300) std s4/5 rx7 4pots are designed to run with a 290mmx22mm rotor I believe Or Standard VT stuff (already have all parts) 296mmx28mm with two pot callipers (And muck around to run VT suspension again or buy hub things to run that on std VK struts. About $500) I want something that will last a track day with out much fade. Last track day I went to, I managed to boil my fresh brakefluid and over heat the wheel bearing grease which has wrecked the wheel bearings now
  5. was telling guy from work about how you've swapped your diesel HiLux to 4age powers And he said I should dispose of 3y and convert to diesel because he's into diesels So just asking out of curiosity But realistically that's as far is Its gonna go right now due to other rubbish on the go
  6. What's happening to the leftover diesel stuff?
  7. I wanna 4age my HiLux now It's gotta go better that the 3y How have you gone about attaching it to the 4wd gearbox?
  8. Put in where the spare wheel would go Should be nicely tucked up and would be easy to build some form of shield for And carry tyre inflator kit
  9. Yeeeessss! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yeeeessss!
  10. Does it have yuck wb tail lights? Please swap to Hq style. Much nicer Looks good though
  11. So um sorry for this again, but just so I understand. Weld up custom coilovers. Fit to car. Book cert. Fail cert on crack testing. Get bit of paper. Remove struts. Send to crack tester. Pass crack test. Refit struts. Present paperwork to certifier. Pass cert! Or is it like ring a certifier and then get paperwork before booking cert/ fitting to car? Sorry I'm confused as to how it works.
  12. I might have to show up in a big American 4 door next time...
  13. @zebradude, never wash the Torino ever please! It added to the coolness factor.
  14. How do we get such deals? Do we say were oldschool on ordering or?
  15. So we need to get mirrors for this. Being the car Aimee's learning to drive it, no mirrors is a bit dodgy. She really wants guard mirrors so have been looking for some. Found a couple on the tard, but unsure as to which style to pick. (Form over function right). Sent wheels off today with a mate to be blasted should get them back later this week. So then need to pick a colour and paint them. Then tyres. I have some 185/70 r13s but they're to big. So was thinking 155/70s or 165/70s because common sizes? Idk I'm used to 15s But will have to properly test fit alloys first to make sure nothing sticks out the guards Just need four warrantable 13s for now. Probably looking second hand because balling on a budget. And not overly keen on Chinese tyres but I doubt you'd get much else in 13s? Berj, I see what you mean about trawling for parts for this thing. I've banned myself from trade me. And yup will have to grab them sometime!
  16. Unfortunately it's got clearance issues at that height, tyres scrub on guards at lock, and steering rods contact sway bar. So probably looking at like 20 mm higher than what it's at (should be bang on 100mm ground clearance)
  17. Now rocking BBS RS' put some 195/50R16s on them. Its weird driving this thing and not having guard rub
  18. So with the custom springs I got off a guy on Facebook put in, it sat firmly on the bump stops in the front. so I removed them, and chucked the 100 spokes on. Stupid low. (its on 205/50r15s) I cant even fit my superlow jack under it ( 80mm) So probably gonna pull them out and give them back , and get some not so slammed ones (aim for around 100mm) and Ive lost one of the 2in blocks that came in the ute and the ubolts that I thought were gonna be able to be used are bent. so they're all junk. so probs new 2in blocks next payday and play with the leaves and get it to sit nice with the fronts. Should hopefully be back to the panelbeaters in the next couple of weeks to get rust in wiper channels finished, screen put back in and roof hole filled it. Its sat in the shed for a month, so Im really over it
  19. Yeah man, wasn't anything major. Just the hose had perished and had developed a bit of a drip. She's so stoked on it ay, went for a cruise through town on the way back, and have put a fair bit of mileage on it since picking it up. Haven't got many massive plans for it just yet, as Aimee's still on her learners. But probably just give it a good service, fix the water leak (gonna investigate that tomorrow) and keep an eye out for parts as they pop up to tidy it up. Had been around and looked at tyres for it, but there's not much choice in 13s and can't really go very wide due to offset of wheels sitting much further out than steels, so was thinking about chucking something similar rolling diameter to the 155/80r12s and square on 6in wide wheels 155-175s for temporary use for now. Anyone got any old but good (wof able) 13in tyres kicking around home close to Auckland area?
