  1. Wow @Seedy Al those wheels really set that ute off...
  2. Unfortunately this month we will be postponing this meet. Apologies for the late notice. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are no longer able to use our current monthly meet location. Ive been looking into alternative locations, but can’t really think of anywhere suitable that is central for a meet to take place. -I’m more familiar with South and East Auckland tbh, and am aware that a lot of our members are from travelling from west/and the shore on evenings, traffic will make attending locations further out of the CBD area more of a mission, and with numbers dwindling as is I don’t see that as a viable alternative. Apologies for this. Please if you have any input towards locations/ideas for the future of the monthly meets or how we can gain attendance again feel free to comment below or PM me if needed. 3. And threw a cheeky lowball at a dude with a stash of FR parts because I wanted the handle bar upper cover for my FR. turns out its it’s pretty much a whole FR, just disassembled. so I’m one bike less than I was before. Fuuuuuu
  4. So I sold 3x surplus bikes from my hoard. and then got a phone call ‘you like scooters. Get this out of my shed’
  5. My grandad had one of these that he was doing up for my late grandmother before she passed away. So many memories of being a little kid and playing in it pretending to drive it places while around at grandads. and pulling the tin can covering the slightly upswept end of the exhaust and putting leaves in there. He sold it still unfinished to a guy up north I think. Was yellow with red panels I think. Will have to see if can rummage up some photos
  6. Damn that looks like fun times!
  7. Great effort mate! Know the feels with the wiring.
  8. Also, Ive upgraded to a larger cc four cylinder sports bike so unfortunately it pains me to say that this is up for sale. This thing is honestly the perfect commuter bike. The narrow bars make zipping between traffic a breeze, two stroke dings sound great echoing off the buildings, plus it looks cool parked outside the cafe/pub. Its also so much fun out on back roads for carrying momentum through corners and speed tucking on the tank. Warranted till October - probably will take it in for a update at some point, but It passed the last wof exactly as pictured - had to buy a chain guard and everything. Wof guy said safety over aesthetics. And being a 2005 model it gets yearly wofs! will come with some live rego, As ill probably keep using it until sold. $1700 I still dont really wanna sell this. (imperfections i can think of are small dent in the tank which was there previous to my ownership, and the LH side of the tank is covered with red vinyl as it has scratches in the paint from when I removed the Suzuki stickers)
  9. Aiite, So havent done much to this. Have swapped back to Narrow bars for better city lane splitting, rewrapped the side cover, fitted some super nice Biltwell grips, did a bit of basic maintenance, replaced the clutch and choke cables due to them getting pinched in between the forks and the stops. Have just been riding it. So heres some photos.

    What size are you after?
  12. No. I have no space left hahaha. That was why there was no more bikes said. Had to get creative to fit the RV somewhere. Still don’t have space for that really.
  13. Yes, @MopedNZ if it wasn’t for yourself and @GuyWithAviators I certainly wouldn’t have three quarters of my collection or as many good memories/laughs/rage quits/mild panic attacks/stress out moments/ and good times as they’ve bought me at this point. I will expand further into the stories behind some of the bikes as I get around to working on them.
  14. Oh theres also a Suzuki F50 frame tucked away but I think that will do for tonight. See, I said I had acquired some shit. Hi, Im Shakotom, and I have a problem
  15. And a bike that Id pined over, but could never justify the prices that people were asking for them. That being said I almost didn't jump on this as I had said no more bikes and it was only after @MopedNZ and @GuyWithAviators severely peer pressured me that I collected it 30 minutes after it was listed for sale. A Suzuki RV90
  16. A fairly ratty, but probably one of my dream/must have bikes The classic Honda 50
  17. And these are a couple of things I've got tucked away for future projects which ill go into more detail on as I do some work on them Firstly, 1973 Suzuki MT50 TRAIL HOPPER The perfect bike to chuck in the back of a truck to take to a field on a Sunday.
  18. And because I didnt learn after my last episode with twist and gos, I had a couple of refreshments while at a friends and ended up doing a deal with Andrew and purchased his SJ50 he had for sale as hes now got a DJ1 and I helped him lower that. And what do you do with lame modern scooters? Remove all the suspension of course. oh and fit all of the underglow lighting We took these to one of Aucklands MotoSocial events and ended up attracting more attention than anything else there. SJs currently at the point where its as low as it will go without cutting into the frame to get clearance for the carb, and modifying the fuel tank to clear the rear wheel. And it still rides suprisingly well. Whole aim is Low Bucks and Max slam / ricerness
