  1. and after the nonsense with a certain certifier, good luck finding someone to do the workings and sign it off. unless changed dramatically in last 5 years, many left due his shonky behaviour
  2. and ride shotgun in a spare seat
  3. yes, but still have to break bead on one sidewall
  4. how are required numbers looking ? know it months away, but 'locking it in' is a major tick in the box ?
  5. so something slower than an N/A 80-series diesel cruiser exists ??
  6. engage repair certifier before even contemplating a re-vin, if their is any doubt....... so many think they know the system, then spend mega-bucks on repairs. my project has some repairs, but appear cosmetic only and full chassis. repair certifier pretty kosha with everything
  7. the simple fact that people can back out of/ enter their garage during darkness, and not pick up on the fact that one headlight has blown, truly fecken astounds me. what other obvious things do not compute behind their retinas
  8. possibly. have not decided our plans before/after event, but Kaikoura and west coast are on the radar
  9. registered and paid x 2. unsure if Raghead/Tommoose has actually joined here yet......... or just a fecken stalking misfit !!
  10. same set-up as GT4, but different ratios are the 2 versions of 4WD carib. need Raghead to join up as he obsessed, but 1600 and 1800 are different, unsure if transfer ratios the same. pre-ABS models have lockable centre/transfer.
  11. sport or Std imp ?
  12. liteace springs to mind, as needed short unit to avoid manifold in a KP60 . may only be 5/8, though
  13. best get the Raghead to sign up as a member, and not a lurker. he has stock of some very absorbant material for wiping up the foam, and the dribble from both sides of Simpson's mouth !!
  14. Taiwan has/had better cred than most China made................. once upon a time Taiwan ROC and HongKong made good-ish gear
  15. Paul, is it only upper balljoint that is binding ? if so, can you raise the inner, upper mounting point to flatten the the upper arm ?
  16. damn near thought it was today, and was expecting tail-end charlie on a blind corner over Dansey's. looked like some other crew out for a postie bike run ? unless graded prior, some of the steeper sections are corrugated to buggery , and will be a handfull.
  17. isn't Italy, a suburb of Beijing ?
  18. mobile fishing lodge ??
  19. 2 years i believe, may have been one . work had a import petrol Navara that needing re-compliance due to the timeline, but the regs had change between compliance tests and needed a 'sniffer' jammed up it's bum........had to lean it to the point of melting plugs and pinging to pass !!
  20. applies to rusty 'self-contained shit-in-the-bushes vans' as well........ i believe
  21. a crimped lug attached to frame of panel, and/or the roof/ground ali mounting frame (often sandwiched) to a cable to a driven earth stake, i could be wrong, but the charge controller is earthed to same stake........... if am wrong about coupling the panel and controller earths.... best some tell me, at that is how i was told to do it
  22. usually panels/frame and charge controller are earthed
  23. not forgetting either the time allocated for arguments/Barrying at both WOF inspection and potentially re-checks
  24. if Class EB exemption still valid, remains valid at change of ownership. if not on hold, you may have to 'back-pay' to get EB updated
