  7. run joists 90 degrees so they do not tie into longest span. don't ask drawings..... i can barely write legibly
  8. someone will adjust this for current, if it isn't, but make the 'clearspan' between fixings 3.55m ?, use 190 X45 SG8 at 400mm CRS, connected to 2X 245 X 45 at 2.8m long

  10. @cletus and if already certified as a flat -deck, does it need re-cert for making it tipping, if no welding to subframe was required ?
  11. whip the box out and check the clutch. sounds more and more like the spigot bearing issue i had
  12. is the clutch operating as it should ? had a spigot bearing fail once and jammed itself in the pressure plate. felt like clutch was releasing, but it wasn't

  16. where is the brake on that winch ? reason i ask is, i bought a S/H winch for Scrubby-Scud that came with new dyneema rope (un-spooled), nearly the whole 30m melted by the time i had the drum fully spooled with it, due to internal brake heating drum
  17. just thunked about this.... why disc ? reason i ask is debris failure, as in rock/stone either smashing disc, or getting jammed in caliper, as mounting i 90 degrees from usual fitment. would a drum be such a cumbersome thing, as most mid-commercials used drum on back of transmission
  18. amongst a host of other things on the mid-00's Swifts. wife has 06, piece of crap that should have been immediately sold for profit, not driven to 200K with many niggles
  19. all depends were it done it's mileage. a 130K car from open road use is a better buy than 130K stuck in traffic odo is km's travelled, not engine Kms

  21. mighty fine collection of corroded components. recommend dissasembly by any means, and persevere with breaking/stripping fasteners until you replace with new (with copper-cote on all disassembly threads. euro import , by chance ? bet there is other corrosion issues looking at the state of exhaust
  22. i guy i know used 'euro' LHD MK2 Escort rack to R+P his Datto 120Y. engine required front-mount rack
  23. he is not under Lovatt Mitsubishi anymore (shit yarn, don't need to bore you) but is now a Honda agent. still has some access to Mitsi parts,, but mainly competition side. only have his cell number, but best to call the workshop.
