  1. Have a read of this thread.
  2. Not a wof issue (as far as I can tell) more of a tax evasion thing. https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vehicle-interior/speedometer
  3. Odometer doesn’t have to work for wof. But buyers might be wary of how many kms it has actually done. Probably no a big issue for an old car tho. Speedo must work for wof.
  4. Derp. Shouldn’t. Clint has come to the rescue anyway.

Some have a sensor on the fuel pump or get one of these http://www.anythingelectronic.co.nz/aenz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=245
  6. Should need Cert. just make sure it won’t hurt any one. https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vehicle-exterior/external-projections also see tables on that page.
  7. New rules come in June 1st. Can’t have LED or HID in a headlamp that wasn’t designed for it. If you replace the whole headlight with one designed for LED (like a 7 inch round job) it’s OK, as long as the beam pattern is all good.
  8. Good. Every LED bulb I’ve seen in a old headlight has no dipped pattern. Just a splurge of light.
  9. Firstly fail for raising a car. To use a block to raise a car the diff will need to be under the leaf spring. Just removing the block will raise it by the thicknesses of the block. You will need to shorten the u bolts unless they don’t have enough thread.
  10. Another daylight savings comes and goes without a shine haul. Guess I’d better find my bike and come along.
  11. My understanding is that only the original issuer can reprint a new wof sticker, but I can’t find that in the virm.
  12. Hopefully you won’t have to go through the same thing in six months.
  13. I’d better bring the Mrs then, so I get my money’s worth. Date night.
  14. Surely a change of induction means naturally aspirated to forced induction.
  15. You don’t want the release bearing touching the pressure plate when disengage. It will wear the bearing out fast if it is always spinning.
  16. Sorted with our help, or don’t need help? I confused.
