  1. nice saw taht on tm when it was a complete car with the 13b turbo...quite like the look at it for some reason, not usually a fan of bright colours but it looks good!
  2. my old ute had 2 leaves flattened, adjustables, c notch and 2 inch blocks...to me it seemed super hori.. It was super slammed but it somehow had a cert? so yeah must be possible? lol
  3. So had a heap of packages turn up fiiinnnalllyyy from the states...Was a long slow trip but got here eventually. SOME of the packages! New BOSCH leads for the LS1 TANKS INC replacement fuel tank set up for a intank electric pump. Bolts into stock location even! Intank fuel pump and cradle to fit inside the fuel tank. Also a sender to connect to the factory fuel gauge so that works all properly! New driveshaft hanger bearing New waterpump and thermostat for LS1. About 1/3 of the cost of NZ at discounted price 2! Bolt in engine mounts for LS1 into Impala, flexplaet spacer & bolts to run older 700R4 trans on LS1 & Inline fuel pressure reg/filter from Corvette to assist in fuelling conversion Bolt in gearbox xmember to allow 700R4 from Commodore to bolt in (in theory) hopefully this will work with little to no mods with the ls1 1990 Chev celebrity repro calipers, 1978 Chev something rotors, and 1972 Camaro brake lines along with a aftermarket bracket makes the front end disk braked without messing up the offset like the aftermarket kits do. Hopefully it all works! New panhard bar Polished Alloy coil covers for LS1 Some of the rubbish after unpacking, half the shits still in boxes 2. Americans pack in a crazy way! Have also been working away stripping the bumpers from the irons. Was most difficult with god knows how many years of rust holding the bolts together. Nothing about 8 cutting disks and a grinder cant fix tho! Irons are going to get dipped nad powder coated, bumpers will get rechromed Have also been stripping the front grill/xmember thing to do the same Remains of a shit load of disks and rusty bolts! Discuss away and talk some shit! http://oldschool.co....la/?hl=westpala
  4. nice work man turned out mint!
  5. i hate it when your aiming for something then a hickup/something you didnt expect occurs and throws the spanner in the works.
  6. kinda my thoughts at this stage. Definatly no gold! Silver, chrome bumpers, trim, wheels, white or black roof and then decide on interior...will be good i think. SR1600 nah mate it fired up so it must be good to go, will find out this weekend all going to plan ha
  7. haha yeah man fridge is tucked in the corner with the rest of my stuff, awaiting the rest of my shed to be built so i can move in...All these photos are pre fridge collection ha Dont worry itl be in there pride of place haha. As for bits alot of them have come from Classicindustries.com either via me ordering direct, or speed shed in Cambridge who have ordered me a bit of stuff through their various suppliers.
  8. So looks like iv been a bit slack but things have been happening, also found a heap of photos I havent put up. Car is currently at panelbeaters getting hacked up and repaired then prepared for paint. I have a New injected fuel tank with intank pump and inline regulator/filter along with disk front end conversion, transmission xmember for 700r4, ls1 engine mounts, chrome bits for ls1, new waterpump and a panhard bar are all sitting in Auckland at shipping company ready to be picked up. Once I get this im going to strip the commodore and dummy up the engine in my old chassis to get running and painted up etc ready for when the cars home from paint. Have acquired a VN Commodore V8 SS trans which is effectively a Chev 700R4. VN is the last of the fully mechanical (kickdown and speedo drive) so will make things easier in that department. Bought a bolt in trans crossmember in USA to assist in making the swap easier. Have been busy as making mountains of bog & red/white paint dust in the shed. Have stripped bonnet, front guards, boot and doors back to bare metal and then etch priming to save panelbeaters some work! Found a bit of rust in places with some dodgy repairs and a heap of bog. Now thats all gone the panelbeaters can work their magic. Car has been obviously all sandblasted, Sandblasting in action And delivered to the panelbeaters, All loaded up ready to go And its final resting spot for the next few months while it gets major surgery VT Commodore had a bit of a fire on the inside of it, engine bay hasnt really been touched so should be allgood for what I need. My chassis had been started to be wrapped but the welding was crap and really rough would never have gone through a cert or the likes. Managed to find another chassis sitting outside in a paddock, luckily the guy had built a workbench on it when it was in his shed so it was under a bench top and a mountain of blackberry. Was in real good nick considering it had been in the weather, came up good after it got blasted luckily. Believe it or not there is a whole chassis in there somewhere ha! Stripped it back and used my arms, diff and suspension that had already been blasted, got the bare chassis blasted then it all got a coat of paint before being reassembled with new springs, shocks, wheel bearings, suspension bushes, sway bars, hard lines. Panel and paint and then the car can come home. By then should have engine, trans, driveshaft setup all sorted ready to be dropped in and majority of the bits I need to reassemble the car. Aiming to have it ready for VIN/Cert by Feb so i can take it to Beach Hop and a couple of mates are after it for their weddings in March/April. Lots of work to do however if thats ever going to be achieved. Will be some long nights in the shed I can imagine! Till next time. Discuss away and talk some shit! //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/34313-the-westpala/?hl=westpala

    Vinyl Paint

It is all there to be red, but with red you need black and dont want to do black exterior.

    Vinyl Paint

Brilliant this is a feed back i want, iv got mint condition vinyl seats for the 64, but its red, not workign with my colour scheme and a new kit is probably 800-1000 ish for it. So if this works for a few years and its all good then is worth pursuing. Ill PM you 64Valiant as im not far from Hamilton
