  1. For those not on FB heres tonights post, Proper photos and engine bay/interior to come but for now: Talk some shit! //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/34313-the-westpala/page-7
  2. Probably not the best move at BH haha. Will get some good pics ASAP following interior install next week, but prior to BH.
  3. Another big milestone ticked off yesterday/today, Dtech Motorsport had it on the dyno and gave her a tickle up and tune, Sounds like it made around 260kw atw which will be a hell of a laugh on 175/70/R14 tyres! Need to change the Toyota TPS to a LS1 one as ECU wasnt reading WOT past 80% throttle so sort that and a few things out and he reckons we should see around 300kw lol. Pick it up tonight then its off to the depths of the paint shop for the weekend for a gap of the panels and buff. Comment away here about how much fun its going to be lol //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/34313-the-westpala/page-7
  4. Prepare to open your wallet wide! Braided line and fittings are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Just did the engine bay of the Impala and was alot.
  5. So in theory for $135 usd could buy the switch setup and harness, chuck in for cert, win at cert. take out and back to elevel controller.
  6. Does that operate all 4 corners? wonder how that would/if it can work with the Elevel Ecu. Im guessing not. Edit: Looked at pic again. See ecu. ..... DOH
  7. Let me know how you get one as im the same as you only use the up/down in a pair.
  8. Jesus, thats not ideal ay! Feel your pain, awaiting a urgent package in transit from the states which i need next week to get my car to beach hop.............getting nervous
  9. Try Getlow customs (I think) in Hamilton, he supposidly made a clip on cover that went over that covered the individual corners and went through a cert, In saying that mate went through a cert recently with the Accuair controller and didnt get anything said. I will have to go through this soon as well
  10. Friday cruise to Onemana is the best IMO. Mean location, not so many people, saturday is just retarted busy with all the townies (Like the Saturday of fielddays when the farmers dont go) We heading up Monday till Sunday. All going to plan (it is so far) the 64 will be there@!!
  11. Thanks shes been a big job! You bringing your car down for beach hop?
  12. Looking good man, I got my accuair elevel setup from Joel as well for my 64, got mine all working in the car now, the Elevel is being a bit of a slut with the sensors but bag setup working manually anyway.
  13. lol, as soon as i get it back together and get some good photos, all going to plan pre beach hop. Still has no interior etc and is filthy from towing round country side!
  14. Has been a big few weeks going hard on the Impala. Car has been at a mates shop Lakes Automotive in Tauranga, hes been doing a few jobs for me. Had Eze Auto Electrics in to do a full rewire of the car including a custom fuse box, ecu mounted in glove box etc etc. Have reused the factory loom on the engine and stripped out everything we dont need and tidyed it up. Had to do a bit of custom modification to the stainless exhuast system to make it fit alot better. I had been doing a full saturday and a late night or 2 during the week for last 3-4 weeks to get things done over there but car needed to move from the shop and a few hours put into it. Went over on Friday and we did a 16 hour day on Saturday and got the biarcchhh started!!!!!!!!!!!! Got radiator in, hoses sorted, ITB's back on, exhaust all remounted, bolt check and a few other small jobs and we were ready to kick her in the guts. A few fuel leaks, oil leaks and lazy lifters sorted and it was away and running pretty good. Needs a tune and the ITB's adjusted to run 100%. Went back Sunday after a big nap and we only had a throttle and kickdown cable and a couple of other things to make it driveable. Spent a couple of hours sorting that and was able to drive up the road and back on to the trailer, Towed it home and back into it sorting things ASAP to get ready for Beach Hop. Successful weekend all in all and stoked afte r3 years and 9 months since purchase we have finally got it sorted and running! Comment away here http://oldschool.co....westpala/page-6
  15. Interseting cert plate has no vin # and no # plate, does it go back for a restamp after vin or what? I thought yo uhad to get a vin # assigned before getting a cert so it could go on the plate (at least thats what my cert guy told me for the 64) Nice car nonetheless!
  16. Doing the washer blank on the impala, Sparkie reckons the self park on the wipers is part of the motor setup thats been pulled but havent tested it yet to confirm his theory
  17. Optima yellow top battery, considered "sealed" if mounted in passenger compartment???
  18. Good idea with removing the washer pump i had the same brainwave a couple of weeks ago for the Impala and am doing the same thing!
  19. Cheers man, Have certainly got a bit carried away from the original intentions but hey while im there might as well do this, then cant do that without doing this haha we all know how it goes, Bring on the skids!
  20. Cheers man, was given some shit to put on the bolts when went back together to stop/prevent/minimise/fuk knows that haha.
  21. Well we have been busy busy, Mr Greg aka Midnight Upholstery aka 64Valiant has done the roof pre Christmas and it looks tumeke!!! Brakes have been all fitted and bled up, Accuair/Airbag setup and E-Level is all set up bar powering up the ECU. Motors all together with the ITB's, Any day it will be off to a mates shop to get wired, exhaust fitted, radiator mounted and a few misc jobs to make it run, Getting closer by the day!
  22. What have people done for building a enclosure that soundproofish, but doesnt overheat the compressor.... Think where mine are mounted are going to mean they are loud as fuk.
  23. i had a look around as wanted a set too a while ago but could never really get straight info anywhere to be sure that there were legit ones. The OG Wire Wheels guy imported some last year and he got told to pull them off trademe by LVVTA or NZTA and had to say they werent legal and only suitable for show cars. Decided to not take the risk for the amount of money iv spent last thing i want is a rim walking off from the spokes and smoking my rear quarter out or someting. I have a set on the wall in the shed which have knarly cracks through the back of them.
  24. So this just happened......maybe getting a bit carried away. Polisher has given the trumpets and manifolds/fuel rails a hearty polish, came up mint!!! Throttle bodys have had all the extra bits cut off and polished up hard out. Super stoked they look so good in person, will look good on the motor!! Comment away here http://oldschool.co....westpala/page-6
