  1. where abouts in this weird shaped country are you? would pop in for look if i was near enough.
  2. I'd start by draining around a litre of fluid out then firing it it up check to see if it still leaks is real easy to overfill these when fluid is clean. if it does its gearbox out time there is a shortcut there if you unbolt the gearbox and leave TQ converter and bellhousing bolted up it saves hours of mucking round you'll have it on bench in an hour. Good luck to you hope its only overfull.

    PAINT THREAD

how would i go about a 2 tone paint job my car is black on white and has quite a lip between the two colours been thinking about redoing same colours as it looks mint but not sure how you get away from the paint line between colours (you can feel it Yuck) i've got a few deep scratches now on it and humidity blisters in places from last owners paint job so i it needs attention soon. i have done some pretty sweet paintjobs in past and have good sprayguns to use but yeah merging 2 colours?? any ideas.
  4. Bare metal and Clear coat is popular at moment and cost wise would meet you budget.
  5. Just be carefull telling people to bugger off if said person was a customer of any of the shops below expect furious building owners and trespass letters. Delicate situation there.
  6. Hayabusa engine would be fairly easy you can buy driveshaft flanges that bolt on in place of sprocket then you get a sequential box as a added bonus. and 3-400 hp if you go turbo just chucking it in as interesting option.

  9. Learn how to do this and you'll love nissans again. the car knows whats fucked and will tell you how to sort it just follow steps below. Please read all the following instructions in full before you attempt to carry a fault code read out. Switch the ignition to the ON position but do not start the car. Depending on its orientation of the consult plug (see below) bridge the two lower left, or upper right pins on the consult plug with the wire paper clip for 2 seconds then remove the bridge. Observe and write down the sequence of flashed produced by the engine check light on the dash. using the information provided above. Once you are satisfied you have all the fault codes bridge the consult pins again and this will erase any stored fault codes and revert the ECU back its normal operation. Understanding the fault code readout: ECU fault codes are usually displayed on the engine check light on the dash, and are displayed by the number of flashes as well as the speed of the flashes. For example, an ECU showing no recorded faults will display code 55. The first digit is shown as 5 followed by a pause. This then followed by the second digit. This is shown as 5 short flashes. Thus Code 55 - all clear. Listed below are the fault codes for the skyline 11 - Crank Angle Sensor/Camshaft Position Sensor 12 - Air Flow Meter 13 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 14 - Vehicle Speed Sensor 21 - Ignition Signal 22 - Fuel Pump 23 - Idle Switch 24 - Throttle Valve Switch 25 - Idle Speed Control Valve 26 - Boost Pressure Sensor 27 - 28 - Cooling Fan Circuit 29 - 30 - 31 - ECM 32 - EGR Function 33 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 34 - Knock Sensor 35 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 36 - EGR Control-Back Pressure Transducer 37 - Knock Sensor 38 - Right hand bank Closed Loop (B2) 41 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 42 - Fuel Temperature Sensor 43 - Throttle Position Sensor 45 - Injector Leak 47 - Crankshaft Position Sensor 51 - Injector Circuit 53 - Oxygen Sensor 54 - A/T Control 55 - No Malfunction 63 - No. 6 Cylinder Misfire 64 - No. 5 Cylinder Misfire 65 - No. 4 Cylinder Misfire 66 - No. 3 Cylinder Misfire 67 - No. 2 Cylinder Misfire 68 - No. 1 Cylinder Misfire 71 - Random Misfire 72 - TWC Function right hand bank 76 - Fuel Injection System Function right hand bank 77 - Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit 82 - Crankshaft Position Sensor 84 - Automatic Transmission Diagnostic Communication Line 87 - Canister Control Solenoid Valve Circuit 91 - Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit right hand bank 94 - TCC Solenoid Valve 95 - Crank Position Cog 98 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 101 - Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit right hand bank 103 - Park/Neutral Position Switch Circuit 105 - EGR and EGR Canister Control Solenoid Valve Circuit 108 - Canister Purge Control Valve Circuit 111 - Inhibitor Switch 112 - Automatic Transmission Speed Sensor 113 - Automatic Transmission 1st Signal 114 - Automatic Transmission 2nd Signal 115 - Automatic Transmission 3rd Signal 116 - Automatic Transmission 4th Signal 118 - Automatic Transmission Shift Solenoid Valve A 121 - Automatic Transmission Shift Solenoid Valve B 123 - Automatic Transmission Overrun Clutch Solenoid Valve 124 - Automatic Transmission TOR Conv Solenoid Valve 125 - Automatic Transmission Line Pressure Solenoid 126 - Automatic Transmission Throttle Position Sensor 127 - Automatic Transmission Engine Speed Signal 128 - Automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Important note: Please take care if your going to carry out any such diagnostic procedure on your car and understand that this information is provided in good faith and we can accept no responsibility for any accidents, errors or inaccuracies should you decide to follow any of the information provided here. although it did work fine for me and after finding three fault codes and fixing them my skyline has never gone better. So good luck with this and just make sure you take caution when working out which ports to bridge i just faced mine upright and bridged the left hand bottom two and it worked first shot.
  10. May actually make it to this meet my hectic work schedule finally has a hole in it. hard case my mum works in the destists next to burger fuel.
  11. Hey got a bit of second hand knowledge for you that may be useful the company i work for uses merc vans we also have a v8 supercar mechanic working for us he's fitted the sway bars from the longest heaviest merc in the same series his van is shall we say terrifying to be a passenger in it grips insanely well and doesnt roll. if you beefed up your bars and maybe some quality shocks in the back to tame the bounce you should be pretty happy.
  12. Moreys the big white bottle anything with pistons will live forever with it in the sump. Glad to see its going to get some attention in near future

  15. So finally got some time to attack the clearance issues i had in the front since fitting new mags. pulled struts out raised the spring perch on a spare pair i had and swapped em over. The tyre was rubbing on the spring before so its way better could go to 20" wheels now..... Dont worry i'm not going too. Oh and took three coils out of front springs still needed spring compressors to get them back in is 60mm lower now . Going to lower back a bit more after beach hop once i get adjustable swing arm mounts in. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Bastard thing is now i have found the front suspension has been machined slightly fucked from new causing the whole tyres rubbing issue on the front right, Shims have it solved for now but will look for a better casting. My old hot wires are also getting a refurb and polish up and being kept as backup wheels.

  17. ^ one of my favourite cars on oldschool. Haha i guess there is a little bit of wanting to build the car that i had 10 years ago again. Used to own a Purple mk1 with a very serious pi engine in it 16" roh zs wheels Lock diff big brakes was a absolute monster of a car and i got in a lot of trouble in it .... was awesome,
  18. The wheels arent oldschool at all i know but they serve a purpose the car is a big lazy family cruiser so its all about traction and comfort hence it runs 215/45/17's to soak up the bumps and give the gearing a bit of a help.
  19. hmm was one of those tried on a few at shop didnt like them put these on and went yup. these look awesome in person photo makes them look chrome they are actually machined with black detailing. Connor the hotwires are available if your keen?
