  1. I am keen to know about your clutch conversation, my flathead has a mk4 box behind it, it used the zepher fricton plate and flathead truck pressure plate, I would love to use a modernen diafram Spring pressure plate and disk that was good cheep and redealy available
  2. It cost $120 to have my drive shaft made with me supplying the parts, it only had 2 joints.
  3. Dose that engine spin clockwise and what dia is the PTO shaft? I made my frame tall enough to fit most engines in there, the big Kohler fits in the rails.
  4. Haha nice, I did LOL when I saw that.
  5. Thats nice to know, its super strong now, I spent hours making that rear wheel. what engine are you using?
  6. Engine seems to run pretty well, Had a bit of trobble with the pullstart clutch but it just needed cleaning and some oil, I made an exhaust that I burnt the side of my hand on badly, I also made the missing sheet metal part that directs the air around the front fins, still need to find another fuel cap as the one I have has a few rust holes in it,
  7. Frame is half painted, got started on the shitty 5 HP engine, I got it sparking, it had no points gap and they were dirty, carb had bad corrosion from condensation in the tank and one of the jet tubes is lose, I have another carb but its for the small fuel tank as some Briggs & stratton engines the carb bolts to the top of the fuel tank
  8. I am going to start painting the frame tonight I think, rear brakes are finished, I need to get a 1" twist grip and brake lever, I use to have shit loads of that stuff but thought I would never use it, fuck.
  9. Thank you, I will look for that.
  10. its about 2.5 or 3 mm, its stuck like chuck
  11. In my haste I snapped a steel mixture screw off in a alloy carb, I think its too small so spark erode and or too deep down to drill. Any ideas on how to get it out? I was thinking a chome stripper bath might brake it down?
  12. Thats relay nice. When my folks go away, I might have some drag racing on my driveway one day, it was a topdressing plane runway in the 40s
  13. I was looking at plans to couple to engines together, I can use two centrifuge clutches with an idler sprocket to hold the chain in place. Its going to be trickery to get air in that rear tire, there is a sprocket on one side and a disk brake on the other.
  14. I wanted to use an old engine, it would work out easier and cheaper to use a chinese motor tho, Not relay, 2 of them are 3 HP of different vintages and the 5 hp motors need ignition parts. I will fix something.
  15. The frame is basically finished, wheels mounted, forks mounted, I managed to smash this out in a few afternoons. A wile back I got X2 Tecumseh H25 engines from here, I am thinking of running them both, but not sure how to link them with the clutches and run both carbs and governs all at once.
  16. I have x2 3 hp engine and x2 5hp engines, they are all fucked in some way or another so if anyone has one I will take it off your hands
  17. Frame is nearly finished, I just need to make foot rests and fit some bushes to the head stock, I have made the forks and handle bars but havent got any photos
  18. I got a pair of wheels from Storm parts in henderson, they are split rims and there was a front and a rear, I have used both LH sides to make the rear wheel and both RH sides to make the front so I can run a brake on the rear and a sprocket, I also made it so the sprocket bolts to the rim center aswell as I think 3x4mm bolts into thin alloy wont cut it
  19. I wanted a Trutest but couldn't find one so I made a frame, I have made it about 3 times as long, I bent up the tube in a shitty home made hand crank bender witch is well over 100 years old, I pored beach sand in the tube as well, the bends are nice I would say.
  20. I drove a triumph 2500tc about 10 kms or more on 100% kerosene, it went ok, it did knock a lot and I had to hold my hands over the air intake to kill the engine.
  21. I was going to say its normal to make a squealing squeaking noise wile turning the trans, I have a B-W autos on the floor and it dose the same thing, I have noticed C4s do it to
  22. This shit is bloody good at removing oil stains off concrete and is a very good degreaser,
  23. Y blocks are still kind of cheep, everyone would think it was a chev motor.
  24. I have an alternator that puts out 240v DC, just swipe a small fridge and screw it in the boot
