markw
I seem to ask a lot of these hypotheticals. Does anyone have a ballpark on what media blasting the exterior of a car to bare metal costs?
tomble
Old thread but I was quoted 2k for shell + primer, up to 3k if including doors panels etc. "There are a lot of factors". This is in upper hutt.
johnny.race
When he said media - what did he mean exactly? Sand is a media' but unsure of what terminology is par for course in the blasting industry. Something tells me he wasn't talking about sand blasting? jayz383
Its a how long is a piece of string type thing. I recently did a Hq bare shell and it was $800 or so. That was all around the jams, windows, fire wall, floor inside and out etc. I went in and cleaned up the media before I moved it out to help out. Was steel media and roof skin and rear quarters where left.
cletus
I got charged $2800 to blast underneath and engine bay, paint the underside black and prime the engine bay. Then I spent another $250 at the painters for them to fix the primer overspray all over the black underneath Then I had to paint the parts underneath that they missed And fix the ripped hoodlining. Autoblast in glenfield should be avoided at all costs
