Okay, some progress...

Resized_20190912_165158.jpeg.0cd475fbef15c4850b823c6de4cf7add.jpeg

Mocking it up - will look similar to this.

Yes that's right...and no you don't have double vision. Yup...twin motors...fuck yeah!!!

Still lots to figure out and actually do in order to turn a collection of parts on the shed floor into a working trike, but progress is progress.

Had another visualizing session, just trying to balance it out as much as possible.

Resized_20190915_160823.jpeg.8f689815dbc6081551646fd379c8fc87.jpeg

Also found some solutions...

Boy racer spec bonnet spacers...JDM as fuck!

And my throttle system to operate twin motors simultaneously...

I've thrashed my Ebay account once more - buying up a storm of cheap Chinese parts. Normal 6 week delivery time.

So I'll grab some steel on Monday and start welding shit together, do as much as I can in the meantime for the win!

Got a few things done, as the parts trickle in.

20191005_154956.thumb.jpg.9bc8b1c3e2cb855837b1d19b067ed5ff.jpg

made this jig up for drilling both sprockets simultaneously. The holes weren't on the same pcd, and this idea got it right on first pop!

Finished "sprotar" (sprocket/brake rotar)

Then got the frame all tacked together.

I'm out of argon/co2 gas, so can't finish the job. But happy with this, as it's a step forwards regardless...

Still waiting on a few Ebay bits like chain etc to finish it. So I'll park this project up for a few more weeks and revisit it then.

Made this sweet bracket. It holds the gas tank on top of the motor, so it can gravity feed the carbs (x2).

Pretty happy with that. Nice tidy solution that works well.

And taped on the motor for s cheeky look...

Ended up arc welding it together, as waiting isn't a strong point of mine.

And the chains arrived, so I could check my maths and see if everything clearances...yip...sweet!!!

Coming together fast now.

Looking trick as usual, is it a solid axle? Two motors two chains could operate each wheel independently for manual torque vectoring action

I like the way your thinking, but I've done it the easy way with solid rear end.

And got the exhausts sorted.

I had to fudge it a bit to try make them line up in a relatively symmetrical way. It's just eyeballing...but its close enough to look about right. One is much shorter (95mm) than the other, but it will even out. Basically the longer of thr two will have more torque down low, then the shorter will produce more up high. In the middle of the rpm range they're going to be about the same.

End of the day, none of that really matters as long as it does good skids!

Did more work on this very neglected and long forgotten project

Finally finished welding all of the various frame parts.

Fitted chain guards to protect the rider from a flailing chain blow to the kidneys!

But it's not like I can pop down to my local "house of kolor" for some custom paint during a lockdown eh...so needs-must.
