Popular Post shizzl
Hunter is Blaze approved. alternate news, I had some oddball shifter sitting in the shop with a leather boot on it. it’s the traverse lick out type. so I pulled it apart, honed out the guts of it to slip over the T50 gearstick, wound the know onto it. looks perfect. will need to trim the console plate to accept the boot base, then I can apply trim to the console plate to finish it off. im also wanting to find a nice tach that doesn’t look complete cactus and actually reads correctly. this one bounces all over the show. hits limmy just off idle

Popular Post shizzl
Finally got around to fitting the Subaru? Shifter boot. even biffed the naff looking tek screws that I used to temporarily hold the centre down. little bit of trimming and it clipped in nicely. Then I used some left over sticky felt stuff from the WRX to cover it. refitted it with wafer head screws. even got the gear knob to screw down a bit further to sit flush with the boot collar. looks too damn tidy

Popular Post shizzl
Took the old girl along to the Pukekohe car clubs Xmas grasskana . it was a sack, single wheel peel , so zero traction. but I did have shitloads of fun. one really good course in the afternoon, basically doing the old scandy flick (handbrake did f all), power over, sideways for 90% of that course was good fun. needs an LSD asap. might have to find an LSD or get one through palmside for the escort English diff I have.

Popular Post shizzl
Took the Hunter away for the garlic farm budget Nats .. had brake issues the morning I left, and throughout the weekend, but managed through it cos Slow car.. I knew what it was, the little valley type thing inside the remote booster/slave vh44 deal threw a shit fit and decided to stay put and no longer do brake things. i already had a new unit on the bench, but procrastination took hold and I never did swap it until today. im taking her to Waiau Pa hop next weekend, so keen to have brakes. fairly easy deal to swap it. and it brakes now, and releases.. winning while I had the brake mojo and the flaring tool, I decided to run the brake lines on the trailer. What a Kent, but it’s done and it has brakes and no leaks. ive left the brakes locked on overnight to check for any leakage. Should be good. also clamped the conduit up. so only have the 4 mudguard stays to weld on, then screw the boards on before getting it registered.
Popular Post shizzl
Thought I’d have a go at showing off the shiny cam gears. Added clear plastic cambelt cover. nice, then cover it up with the silly intake pipe. Hmm, must rethink the filter set up
shizzl
So went to go to Waiau pa hop this morning, got 3km down the road and it started missing and spluttering. then got progressively worse on the way back. my guess is blocked injectors. 2
Popular Post shizzl
Found the misfire. This was after I took the injectors out and had them clean and flow tested, new filters and seals. $175 later in platinum plugs 11
