Popular Post Kimjon
Â Made good progress today, but I'm short a few bolts in critical places...so thats all I can do until I get more hardware. 13

rusty360
You do some very very nice work! Looks awesome! 1
Kimjon
Oil lines and heaps of shitty little things sorted. I spent 3x 12hr days in the shed this weekend and I struggle to see where the time went. But lots of small custum parts machined up to solve problems. The simpler it looks, the more work it takes to make it look that way.

Lord Gruntfuttock
So much attention to detail and getting things looking nice, then you've got to run external oil lines everywhere... Been there
Kimjon
Yep. But that's not finished in the photo, it will look much better when the lines are connected to the oil tank. Went with black lines, as the old adage goes "if something is ugly, try not to attract attention towards it"
Kimjon
More random one off parts All good practice on the mill. I used the DRO 1/2 functions to find centre/s and it did the maths for me.
Kimjon
More one off parts made. Pressed out of 6mm stainless plate, then milled on the rotary table. Came out pretty mint given how cunty stainless is to work with and my cheap hobby tools. This took a bit of figuring out, but a cheeky reach around was all it needed to solve the problem.

Kimjon
More cool shit made. Axle blocks for the tensioner system. One side of the axle has a plate, the other has a castle nut. Both sides are completely different unfortunately, but solutions not problems... Â

Kimjon
Starter jackshaft arrived. This isn't the correct one for my parts, however I ordered it on the off chance I could make it work. Long story short, I took the original jackshaft and this one, swapped a few parts around, did some witchcraft in the lathe and fingers crossed I've made a working starter motor with cushioned engagement pinion. Time will tell...
Kimjon
Â Â Waiting on a few things to come back from paint, like oil tank and exhaust brackets...then I should be able to try starting it up for the first time.
Popular Post Kimjon
Oil lines plumbed up, exhaust mounted, basically its ready to start. I might hold off until I've run the rear brake lines and bled them etc...but in theory I could put fluids in and hit start now. Still a few niggling issues to resolve like fender struts and rear wiring to be fully ready. But fuck yeah!! 13
