square
Hello Internet, I've got a 60 Catalina which I bagged today, and it needs front shocks. I assumed it was an impala underneath but it is very much not. Anyway I lost the stock front shock and need to relocate them, problem being steering tie bar is on back side of arms on this leaving not much room for a shock mount. What is stopping me running the shock on the forward side of the a-arms ? Lvvta doesn't stupilate, but I haven't seen it before which makes me assume there's a reason why not. Anyone ? Thanks
AllTorque
Even thought it's a lot newer, have a look what Jason The Bogan did on his chev. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/36713-jasonks-79-chev-caprice-hearse/ It should be similar front end to your Ponti and has been certed. Start a build thread. Keen to see more pics.
Nominal
I relocated the shocks to the rear, above the steering, on my Mercury. There's no reason they can't be on the front side though, the lower arm moves in the same arc regardless.

MRWEST
Have seen Eastern Automotive 64 Impala rag and 99% from memory he relocated to the front as his exhaust went over the chassis and down the back on his car. Thats all legal Nice wagon though!
