Hi Oldschool

This is my 4th Pajero, this one used to be my grandfathers so trying to look after it more than the others i have owned. it has a 4D56T motor, so it's a little slow.

Wanting to do some mods for mainland adventures.

Thinking something like this, anyone have suggestions & recommendations for upgrades.

The problem with those baskets/lights and other bolt on things is that they can be seriously detrimental to speed when you are already lacking in power. I seriously could hardly believe the difference pulling my shit off made.

That and on my 4wd the basket out it over max height for certain parking buildings. A real pain in the ass for something that was otherwise completely practical

Yeah true, totally agree and been thinking the same. Minimal is best especially when it's already an under powered tank.  . . . Wonder what powa you can get from these 4d56's / any more than little to none. I wonder if the 4M40 motor bolts in, doubt it.

Mainly keen on roof tent and racks for transporting all my junk. and yeah, never driving in a carpark building again.

  • 1 year later...

This thing just keeps getting birthdays after birthdays, so i made a list for noone that cares . . . or if anyone else want's to make themselves feel better about keeping a barely even oldschool car on the road.

  • Cambelt and tensioners
  • Top & bottom radiator hoses
  • Front oil seals
  • New radiator
  • Water pump
  • Window controls contacts
  • Roof racks
  • Over the top sound system inc sub
  • Rear Calipers Rebuilt $600!
  • New RH Handbrake cable $175!
  • 4 New Bridgestone Duellers
  • Koni adjustable shocks
  • Front top and bottom ball joints (Had to buy a press for this one)
  • Front brake likes (4 total)
  • Upper Control Arm Bush's
  • New Exhaust system ( 2 ¼ inch)
  • Brake and clutch pedal rubbers replaced - feels so good!, recomended. So soft, so grippy

. . . . and then the Pajero goes and does this to me !!!

Edit, This is also partly @Chris.QCR fault, every time he gets in one of the cars from my Lemon fleat they break down.
